Double tap RT.

You tap RT while running. You do have to be fairly close to the part you want to slide under though.
Tap RT. Holding RT is for running off buildings and going straight into a dive.
I think the double tap works best
yeah double tap helps a lot. But its a bit awekward compared to City's controls...
They also should have made LT as reverse/break for the batmobile.

You can by toggling one fo the options in the menu. I tried it, but I'm too conditioned to the normal controls now. Don't think of it as a normal brake; think of it as a handbrake instead, like how most driving games map that to a button instead.

Yeah thats what I have been doing. But its really messing up my driving in NFS Most Wanted.... because the nitros for both games are polar opposites.

On a gamepad its the right trigger (Xbox) or R2 (PS5). Its the lower shoulder button that is shapped somewhat like a gun trigger (xbox) or a paddle (PS) on the right side. No idea what the default mapped key is on a keyboard.

I found out, you double tap crouch.

It seems it's too hard for console plebs to just say what action you have to do, because they always tell yo what button to press. Why the ♥♥♥♥ are you telling me what console button to use IN STEAM?
Contrary to what everyone says, you do not need to double-tap crouch. You press AND RELEASE crouch. Yes, double-tapping crouch necessitates releasing crouch, so it will cause you to slide, but that second tap is entirely unnecessary.

In previous Arkham games, you didn't need to release crouch; you slid as soon as you hit crouch. The reason for the change in Knight is that they added a move where you can run toward an edge while holding crouch in order to dive off. In order to let you do that, they couldn't have you slide the instant you hit crouch.

Probably because this is one of those games where playing on M&K is kind of stupid. With players who are equally skilled at both, some games are better played with a controller, and some are better played with M&K, and some are more or less equal either way.

Of course, there's always idiots who complain about how hard it is or how bad it feels to use one in a game where the other is more optimal. Some games/store pages recommend one.

But an even better question is "why the ♥♥♥♥ would you necro an 8 1/2 year old thread?".

I played all arkham games with K&M and had no problem. the only problem is console pleb always saying what button use instead of the action it does
