Arkham Knight Boss Fight (Spoilers)
So, the boss fight in the tunnels where the Arkham Knight chases you with a giant drill? This is my first play through, and that fight is making me hate this game. Like, trying to beat it for an hour and than rage quiting hate this game. Who's dumb idea was it to make so many batmobile boss fights? I just want to punch this guy into submission already.

Its not even difficult, wait by one of the points, shoot the drill when you see it and drive through the tunnel.

i found that boss fight quiet fun. if you wanna take aim at the batmobile missions being bad id take aim at the riddler races as 9/10 times the batmobile wouldn't stay on the wall and would slide off or drift/spin off durring a race. batman couldn't afford tyres with extra traction obviously lol. honestly that was to me the only downside of the batmobile.

Look at the map, see the tunnels?

Stay near one the 3 tunnel entrances, see the drill, shoot it, go thru the tunnel.
Repeat two more times for two remaining tunnels.
Super easy, I don't get what is hard here?

Switch to first person mode while driving through the tunnels. This makes them significantly easier.

Batmobile ruined the game in so many ways.
Unnecessarily hard on so many players machines (FPS) and I hate Mario Kart.

Go into cockpit view, which is easier to dodge and loop the ceiling to avoid obstacles, park at an intersection faced in line wih the tunnel, preferably at a spot just before one of the trap spots (shown in red), then hold RMB to look sideways with cannon, and just shoot the drill rig he drives when you see him.

He'll be on you very quickly, but this method easily gives you enough time to stay ahead of him, and enough finesse to get past the obstacles on the way to the trap spots. You only need do that a few times, then drive to the exit door, where you'll get the next checkpoint.

IMO they screwed the pooch a bit with the Arkham Knight boss fights. Not a single straight up hand to hand combat fight with him which was very disappointing.

Having said that - to beat the section you're talking about OP, just avoid the AK's tank initially, go into one of the tunnels and scout it so you'll know the twists and turn, then go back to the entrance, and shoot his tank so he'll chase you, then run through the tunnels so he'll damage himself then do it all again. You have to take him down 3 tunnels I believe, so just follow that same process on each one and you'll be fine.

I understand about the maps and the tunnels and shooting at the Knight to get him to follow you. But Batmobile controls just using keyboard and mouse are hard. I'm really bad at it. I still haven't even finished the first Riddler race.
I just wish there was another way. Like, you should be able to be Batman without the car.
This whole game feels like a missed opportunity.

This fight made me so desperate I even turned to Easy mode, and that's just disgraceful.
In essence, I suck and that makes me angry.

If you're playing with Keyboard / Mouse I sympathize - I can't imagine trying to play a game like Batman or Assassin's Creed without a controller. I'd highly recommend spending the $30 on an XBox 360 controller - makes these games a lot more fun to play, IMO as they are designed for a controller, but in the meantime, you did what you could - play it on the easiest difficulty. That's what I have done in the past when I have played Halo on the XBox - gotta play it on easy as aiming with a controller in a FPS is just stupidly difficult when you're used to the smoothness and precision of a keyboard / mouse on those types of games.

Why? It's fine if you like the controller but some of us (far) prefer KB+M and do quite well with them. Everyone should use whatever controller scheme they like best.

I've found that 3rd person games are much easier to play with a controller and given feedback I've seen on many messageboards for many games, it seems that more folks feel this way compared to folks who like KB/M for these types of games. Does that mean no one could ever get good and comfortable with a KB/M? Of course not. IMO it's just MUCH more difficult so based on my own experiences and how easy it was to get used to using a controller for these types of games, I always recommend it to folks in the hope it may help them have a better experience. It certainly did for me.

I was always a KB/M gamer until I bought the first Assassin's Creed game and then shortly after that, Arkham Asylum and I said nope...gotta do a controller for these types of games as I found it very difficult to use a KB/M for those games.

KB/M for 1st person shooters and controller for 3rd person for sure.
Honestly,I prefer a controller for any single player game. Those are meant to be played from a reclined or horizontal position.

KB/M is for online shooters that only last a few minutes at a time. I would never sit at my desk for hours like when I play a SP game.

Try it in cockpit view, but don't mash the steering keys too much, just subtle taps. This car likes to spin out easily if you turn hard while accelerating.
