Arkham Knight...I haven't beat it yet but I'm growing a bit bored of it. It's largely a tank game with a batman skin for some reason, and the story focus is almost entirely on this bland Arkham Knight character who I'm 99% sure is Jason Todd anyways because it's not even subtle. The world is much bigger but none of it really stands out.
That's not a very fair or accurate description. The bat-tank stuff does tend to be rather polarizing, and it does make up a good chunk of a game play, but the vast majority of the game is the good old Arkham series mechanics
All the Arkham games are great though IMO.
FEAR makes Knight too easy, I don't even notice the new game plus difference at all.
Some of the challenges are sort of made just because they should be made, I don't care much for driving and for instance Quinn clearly is not even made to navigate the play area.
I find two things that I don't like in arkham knight.
First, I miss the ability to play as catwoman (or any other character) in the main city.
Second, I find really tired the battles with the batmobile against the drones. There are five thousand of them and they are always the same. The-same. I loved those battles when they were something new but in the end I was a bit frustrated.
In arkham city I have catwoman to change my character and I don't have the battles against drones. I like the car but I prefer to play on foot.
And... well. Arkham city was a HUGE step forward for the franchise. There was nothing alike. But arkham knigth is just a refinement.
