Game won't launch (crash on startup) [SOLVED]
SOLVED, SEE SOLUTION BELOW

For some reason, windows firewall was blocking the game through ramsonware protection. This happened with Battlefield V and Dying Light aswell. Adding them as an expection for ramsonware protection on windows firewall did the trick. Thanks for the replies.

I recently changed video cards (from a GTX 970 to a GTX 3070 ti) and redownloaded the game for a proper playthrough, but the game won't even launch for me.

I've tried multiple fixes around, and nothing.

Here's the error on startup [i.imgur.com]
Here's the Windows' event viewer [i.imgur.com]

Anyone got a fix for this?

Specs:

RTX 3070 Ti
NVidia Drivers 497.09
Ryzen 7 5800X @ 4.5GHz
RAM 2x 8GB 3200c15
Windows 11 Pro 21H2
Game is on a healthy HDD

I've also updated the bios and chipset drivers for my mobo (B550).

Thanks!

I've discussed several things with my friends about this, but nothing worked for them.
1. Try deleting the configuration files and resync with cloud saves. This was what I never tested. Saw it in some other threads with another game.
You can find it in documents >> WBgames >> Batman Arkham Knight.
0xc00005 is an access violation posed by your OS. Couldn't determine what was causing it in the first place.
2. Known viable solution :
Create a new steam directory to another partition.
Re-install the game there.

Can't guarantee it will work though.

Hey, thanks for the reply!

1. There's no WBGames folder on my Documents (also not on the OneDrive folder)
2. Moving it right now, will update this post later, but I doubt it will work :(

Any other ideas?

This didn't work... Moved to another HDD and even a SSD and it didn't work :(

Yes, a very dangerous one. Reset, because I have "zero" idea about "what exactly the executable can't access among those huge pile of directories."
There's no WBGames folder on my Documents (also not on the OneDrive folder).
At least delete all the configuration XMLs and verify integrity for automatic download.
Steamapps >> Common >> Batman Arkham Knight >> BmGame >> Config.
I know it might not help but give it a try. I hope some other community expert helps you.

The latter didn't work also :(

I will reinstall Windows pretty soon though, so I guess that's my last resort.

TRUE FIX!!!!!!!! -WINDOWED IN THE ADVANCED STARTUP
terptrap Mar 11 @ 8:10am
I would like to add to this discussion that I tried literally all of the things firewall exceptions antivirus, exceptions, I checked file integrity I reinstalled all my drivers I went so far to reset my bios. The only thing that worked for me as a person with a one gen old GPU (AMD ryzen 7700s) maybe this issues exists for all AMD users but I went into graphics setting on my machine and changed the preference for the game from using my gpu to using the internal graphics on the cpu. Literally a toggle menu fixed something I have spent WEEKS researching and trying to fix. If anyone has recommendations on how to use my gpu id like the input but hopefully someone who needs it sees this. Running an average of 45fps.
