Batmobile extremely slow? Cant play
Just installed the game, talked to Gordon and I hopped in my batmobile for the very first time to chase that car with the RPGs; when I use an Xbox One controller I literally cant accelerate past first gear while holding down right trigger; the reverse button makes me go 3x as fast as going forward does.

I unplugged the controller and the batmobile goes proper speed with kb+m but slides around and controls like ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ - does anyone know how to get my controller to work right?

NOTE: The controller works fine in every other game and I have no issues with right trigger until I hop in the batmobile. There has to be some sort of bug or mapping issue but I cant figure out how to edit/remap the batmobile driving buttons on my controller to rebind accelerate?

Thanks in advance

Search the forums and web, there are tons of threads about this. it's a controller config conflict. there are no "gears", and there are points where you are intentionally slowed down, such as in tank mode, APC chases, and some other scripted events.

your R2 button may also be dirty or broken, though I tend to think not if you say it seems to work in other games.

some have claimed there is a software glitch which can be worked around by going back to an earlier save point, though I have never encountered this myself so I can't confirm or deny.

the xbone elite controller also has a trigger stop that I've read can cause this type of behaviour.

I personally prefer the KB+m and do't have any issues with the car "sliding around" like you said, though the throttle is purely 0 or 100% because it's not an analog control.

in case anybody else comes across this, i'm playing on PS4 actually and I have the same issue with R2.

i have one of those sony back paddle buttons attachment and setting one of those buttons to R2 makes it work like normal.

the issue is not during a mission or a point where you're intentionally slowed down, it's definitely a bug

i assume maybe remapping the R2 button in PS4 accessibility settings might work too but i havent tried that

this happened top my gf but it turns out her controller had trigger locks so after the first batmobile sequence she figured it out
