Shadow War mission glitched?

Can't start it. I get up to the roof where the 2 bodies are and... that's it. Batman never starts talking so the mission never progresses. This common?

Detective mode does nothing. I can see the blood stains (they aren't highlighted with DM on) but no dialogue or anything is triggered. IIRC from when I first played this game I had to skip ahead to meet them at the hospital, but that was years back and I figured this would have been fixed by now. Guess not.

It's 'fixed' in my game....I suppose you could try going to the hospital roof...but if you can't gain entry there then you'll have to reload a backup save....
Were you told to go to that location(with the bodies) in the first place?

Yes. I'm at well over the 26 or 27% required to unlock it. I choose the mission, Alfred gives his "crazy ass ninjas" dialogue, I go to the marker location. I show up, see the dead ninja bodies, but nothing happens.
When I look on youtube, Batman should start saying things once I get to the bodies then should be able to use detective vision to track the blood stains, but that does not happen. I've tried reloading, I've tried going up the building from every side in case it only triggers from a certain spot, I've used detective vision and nothing gets highlighted. Just about to hop back on and see if skipping over to the hospital still solves it. Means I missed a chunk of dialogue, but oh well.

Ha. Haha. And now it works perfectly. What the hell, I spent 2 hours trying to get this to trigger the other day. Last time I saved I had quit after an AR challenge. Loaded up from there, flew over to the ninja location from the south side and grappled up. Batman finally started talking.

It's still glitchy though. While following the blood trail I stopped to take care of a rooftop outpost, when one enemy was left it glitched to where I couldn't attack or be interacted with. The last thug kept punching but I had no counter icon and couldn't do anything but walk around him til I reloaded. Luckily I had hit one outpost prior so it had an autosave post-Shadow War intro trigger.

Yeah...I wouldn't leave any side mission once I started it...
I remember trying to shortcut the Pyg story because I knew where all the bodies were...I went to the one near Pyg parlor early on...even before the bridges were down...and fell thru the ground in an endless fall....apparently that part of the map isn't loaded until the brides are down ...which could explain why some people say that the further thry get into the game the 'laggier' it got...it could be because the whole map isn't loaded.
I don't recall any glicthes on any of my play thrus with Arkham Knight, but I did run into one or two playing Origins. I think at least one playing Asylum...can't recall any with City

Both of the outposts were in the path of the blood, I wasn't really going out of my way at all. Clearing those along the way may even be the dev's intended way of going about it. Who knows.

You may not be able to progress further until you get the Remote Electrical Charge. If this is your first run (and I know this was a day ago), I'd suggest getting through as much of the story as you can. Without spoiling anything, get to around 80-85% completion and then run any side mission giving you trouble. You will run into less hiccups.

Picked up the REC first time I was in GCPD, if you mean you need it to actually get the mission to trigger rather than just to get past the electrified puddle.
