No support for Xbox Series controllers? [SOLVED]
Hello,

I tested my older Xbox 360 wired controller and it is working fine in game, but its recognized as Xbox one controller.

BUT, I am having problems with this game and my Xbox Series wireless controller, game always recognize it as PS4 gamepad and controls doesnt work properly in game.
My view in game is always locked on ceiling , i can walk in-game but cant move camera.

Anyone know how to fix this?

I had same problem. Fixed with turning on xbox and ps controllers support (Im not sure that this is correct name bc Im using non-eng client) in steam settings.

OK, I thought it was just me having this problem.

I also, have performance dips and I think the game is struggling with HDR, but it barely runs on my pc

I have a Ryzen 9 / RTX 3090 and the game is chugging along when I try to play with a gamepad.

I'm really knew to pc gaming, so at first I wasnt sure if the poor performance was due to my pc set up, and not the gamepad support or something else entirely. I'm just trying to play this damn game lolol Bear with me, I am learning though!

Are you connecting it wirelessly or via usb-c? they are xniput devices and are natively supported by windows and pretty much all games

You should probably turn xbox and PS4 controller support OFF in steam, which actually (to my understanding) wraps them to a steam controller config.
Try it both ways, use whichever works for you.
FYI, you might need to delete the "config" folder and do a game cache verify if the game still thinks it's a PS4 controller.

consider the KB+M too. IMO, it's FAR superior. The mouse just destroys the analog stick for camera control.
