Finally gets rid of that horrible lens flare.
Edit: Playing more, some still exists - but it is not as prolific as it was before. Not perfect, sadly.
Impressive how good this game looks after all these years, once you get all the mess out of the way. Puts many 2020+ games to shame.
It has been a year and a bit since I played. So a lot of this is from memory and probably not entirely accurate. But at least with the DoF, it has some impact on how some of the hacking/unlocking minigames work, or whenever Bruce is staring at his little handheld thing. Disabling it entirely will do something(I forget what specifically) to that. Although I doubt the lens flares would be tied to something equally silly.
I DID manage to make it 95% acceptable when I played. But to do so I had to use a reshade present from Modnexus, I forget which so this info isn't likely to be super helpful. But at least it's a clue as to where to look if you're still not happy and want to do more.
As I recall the reshades can turn certain effects down rather than disable them entirely(as we'd do via ini editing) and as such not break the game but still take the worst of the visual vomit hiding an otherwise gorgeous game.
Now if only I could get the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ camera to not try and auto center itself whenever I use the ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ grapple.
