Knightmare Difficulty Question
I have just finish the main game and unlocked New Game plus with the default "Knightmare difficulty". However, this difficulty isn't transfer into the AR Challenges in the main menu. I have done a couple of google searches and found out that the AR Challenges will have knightmare difficulty if they are accessed in the main game. The thing is, the main game only allow you to play as batman so those AR challenges are mostly for batman (with a few exceptions) and you can't switch character freely.

Is it possible to play as a different character through all the AR challenges with Knightmare difficulty enabled? I've read somewhere about a promised function that allowed for this difficulty to be opened to all modes and characters. The game is 4 years old, it should be here by now.

I have a %240 save game, looked at the 'in menu' AR challenges...
they all have the choice of characters...tho' they seem to play the same...
I didn't test them but the one I started to see if the 'counter indicators' were shown on attcking foes and they were just like if you played them in a regular save...I take it the indicators would be missing if the AR challenges were in Nightmare mode.

Given that you have completed the game you should have access to all characters and knightmare mode. I have a save file where I also completed the main game and I can choose any character and activate knightmare mode.

A few things though, character selection for AR challenges is available as soon as you start a new game file, so take a better look.

I'm not sure at which point knightmare becomes available but it's also important to know that knightmare mode can only be turned on in combat and in batmobile combat maps only.

One last note, even if you have NG+, knightmare mode does not change automatically in AR challenges; you have to turn it on at the AR challenges screen every time you want to play a map with more difficulty.

But again if you already completed the main game, you will have all the characters and knightmare mode at your disposal.

P.S. It goes without saying but there 2 or 3 combat maps where you play using two characters so in that case you can't change any of them.

It turn out that Knightmare mode is available in my saves as well but I focused solely on Predator mode so I didn't even notice you can toggle them in combat and batmobile battles. Damn shame, I was hoping for an ultimate challenge with Knightmare mode on the Endless Knight map. That one map is the best. Thanks for clearing this up.
