How do i reach Killer Croc in IceBerg Lounge?
I can't keep combos above 120. And the Enemies keep spawning in the middle of nowhere so i hit them by accident. How do i get enough points to fight Croc? I want the trophy

Blade takedowns can be risky, but are well worth it. They give a lot of points, add several hits to your combo metre and are not that hard once you've dealt with them a few times.
Assuming you're using an x-bone or 360 controller, the special freeze grenade is RT twice, holding it the second time. Think of it as pressing like you're throwing a normal one, but hold the trigger twice as long the second time.

If you can get x175, you can get x1'750. Nothing changes mechanically. It's just keeping your nerve. If you have a copy of Arkham Asylum, try doing the Total Insanity map with only critical strikes and a combo batarang as your upgrades. It's a great way to practise.

"Ariel attack on shield thugs will cancel all other attacks. Redirected ariel attack on any thug will also work."
I don't think this is true at all, I've often been hit whilst being in air. But now that I know what to shoot for I don't even really need the tips. I'll manage, I just didn't even know it was possible to fight him.

If you ariel attack anyone not using a shield, you can still get hit. If you redirect the attack too late, or towards a target you can't hit (stun baton or electrified goon), you will also get hit.

Got 245 combo. And 450,000 points. Unfortunately lost the combo.

Those combat challenges for the last few achievements are legitimately the hardest achievenents on my Steam account. I have tried them hundreds of times but you can get a hit or break your combo for any random reason. I honestly thought the devs were trolling completionists but I know that there are people who have done them.

I have put them on hold until I get a new system, preferably with a gaming keyboard but I honestly think I might not be capable of doing them!

It's very easy to break a combo. And what annoys me the most are the Electrical Guys. Perhaps they were trolling. I think they were kinda pissed at Players requesting Character Selection. So maybe they were angry making this. I don't like the Thug spawning system. They teleport in the arena. And if they're Stun Batons or Shields they break my combo. They can just spawn and immediately start attacking you. They should jump in the arena from outside.

If they spawn on the outside there is also a risk that you don't have enough enemies to beat up.
Why not use disarm btw to get rid of their weapons? That's the best part with Batman and Azrael.

I agree that the thugs spawning in wasn't the smartest design choice. It worked fine with them entering from the outside in Arkham City, so I don't know why they changed that.
Just remember, make liberal use of the sticks the enemies inevitably drop. You can hit anyone with them, though weirdly they're weak against stun baton thugs, since hitting from behind with one doesn't knock them over. Starting a beatdown will make them drop it, though.

Disarm isn’t enough. I’ve been using the freeze special on the medics. My combo always break. Even Batclaw spam doesn’t negate all attacks

Unless they're the last ones left, or literally everyone else in the fight is engaged (does happen), medics won't attack you. Leave the freeze grenades for shield thugs and wail on the medics with beatdowns. If they electify someone, hit them with the REC and you might knock both down. Then use a multi-ground takedown.

Medics can free frozen thugs by electrifiying them

Sorry guise (bit late to the party), but in my semi-humble opinion you're going about this all wrong. I spent eternities trying to get to the score mark, prioritizing not getting hit. One day, all I did was just 'flow' from one hit to another, combo going - managed to get Croc to spawn without even seeing brutes and other harder enemies spawn.

The key is honestly the combo. I'm at 3 million score presently, and losing the combo means it's nigh-impossible to acquire the same build-up

If you aren't aware, the score multiplies the score you get from your actions. So with a 470x combo, something as simple as a search-and-destroy move brings in insane score points.

But, also breaking weapons with search-and-destroy increases the difficulty, either by progressing to harder enemies/objects, or increasing the spawns. Keep that in mind

Good luck, and see you in the Lounge

I think people are aware they need to flow. The problem is HOW, hence the thread. The advice various posters and I provide is trying to show them options so they play offensively rather than defensively. You saw this work yourself when you focused on attack rather than avoiding getting hit. However, this only works if you know what Batman is capable of. I emphasised the multi-ground take-down for that reason; it keeps enemy numbers under control and has the highest potential for scoring points.

not so sure about this... enemies keep respawning until you reach the million points so taking them down contributes to more enemies really... Free-Flow Focus is the way to go... that's where you can rack up the points quicker but it takes precision timing to pull off...:-) :harley:

Enemies can only spawn in so quickly. Plus if medics are allowed to do their job, they'll keep getting people up to increase their numbers on the field. Same thing happens with the infinite predator map. Keep the medics out and they can be down to 10 militia personnel. Active medics can keep the team at 15-16.
