Fixing the Post-City cowl with mods?
Would this even be possible to achieve perhaps? Highly doubt it it seems, don't think modders could do such a thing, it would mean modifying the model itself and giving it an area to disconnect from Batman's head and I haven't really seen anything like model-tweaking happen other then model swapping (which isn't actually modyfing a model).


This really bloody sucks because I wanted to play the story with the Post-City suit but I know it has this problem.

You mean you want to play the main story with the 'pristine' outfit?
if so ...there's a mod that unlocks all Batsuits right from the beginning...even the %240 'gold emblem' suit.

Nah I don't mean the prestine suit, I mean the suit he begins the game with, it's broken, whenever Batman takes his cowl off his hair sticks through the cowl and it glitches, the cowl doesn't come off.

Strange...don't think I ever read anyone else posting about that kind of glitch....
So it's the default suit....I do know if I use the '89 suit there's a funny effect...mainly because it wasn't meant to be played in the main story....did you try any of the other 'mechanical' cowl suits to see if it happens also?...actually the 'pristine' suit would be the closet to the default suit....it just doesn't have the battle damage effects on it....the %240 suit is also the same as the default...just has the gold bat emblem....
sounds like the removal cut scene is corrupted...I feel silly asking but did you do the 'verify the game files' thru Steam to look for any corrupted files?
or if you are playing above 1920x1080 res....that can cause 'anomalies' is some circumstances....so can overclocking your CPU or GPU...but those are more or less related to those unexpected crashes.

ONLY this skin has this problem, which is really sad because I would main the outfit if this wasn't a problem.

I've seen a mod which makes Batman "Batcop", as in, it gives him an armoured Cop's body, the Beyond's hidden glider cape and a head from one of the Batman skins... so I wonder, if such a thing could be possible for the Post-City suit to be fixed, a problem Rocksteady never decided to fix but should have.

I would just love if someone would do something like this, perhaps get the Original Arkham outfit's headpiece, slap it onto the Post city body and retexture it a bit...? I dunno how possible that is. I don't think it'll happen, this game came out in 2015 so it's already 3 years old and everyone has moved on from it.

Oh ok....yeah, ...that's the same that happens to me with the 89 skin...not sure about the Panessa cutscene but I know it happens at the 'activate Knightfall part.....those are non mechanical cowls....I don't believe the game was even designed them to be used in the main story.
To me it's like using the other Batmobiles in the main story....they were just not designed to be used in the main story...
It may be possible modify the suit with a program like resorep...but that is extremely time consuming...only person I know that does mods is Mr Jag(Youtube)...and he won't take requests.

I've heard the nightfall protocol is appearently buggy with cowls sometimes, but other times Batman takes off his cowls, pretty much all of them have it come off (even the none-mechanical ones, you can even get footage of the Adam West outfit having the cowl come off), EXCEPT for the Post-City one, which is my problem, and I'm sure a few other's problem.

Sadly not, the bug happens because unlike the other cowls, the Post-AC one isn't set up to come off like the others. To fix it we'd have to edit the mesh, make the animation and then reimport it. We can extract and edit but not re-import. Best guess from me would be to use the Asylum cowl as a mesh mod for those scenes. It's the best you can do right now.

That was my basic idea and I get the whole fact that they didn't bother to add animations for it, and texture editing is available too right? The Classic Arkham Cowl, I think it's colouration is not the same, it'd need a tweak (sadly I have no clue how to do any of this, it's a dream of sorts really)
