In fact, Deathstroke deserves his own game. Or at least a good DLC in Arkham series in which we can kill people, not disabling them.
Agreed! If Arkham Origins has something really good is the boss fights... Arkham City have some, but Arkham Knight don`t!
Seriously, I think they wasted a great opportunity to make an incredible boss fight against Deathstroke, in the "hardest optional boss" way.
Deathstroke would be just another generic ninja or "big guy" with some quicktimes thrown in the mix. The fight in origins sucked.
The best bossfights in the arkham games were freeze and croc.
Because it was more about level design and cat and mouse.
But i get your point. They didn't care because he had his fight in the previous game.
Deathstroke had no place in arkham knight imo.
Edit: take away the ridiculous tank-mode/drone battles and replace it with better bossfights (freeze) and this would be the best batman simulator ever. All that futuristic military stuff was just a little too much imo.
You have good points here.
I don`t think that the fight against Deathstroke in Origins sucked, but being a fan of the character, I think that they could have made it so much better.
Because of that, when Deathstroke appears in the last part of this game, I wanted to believe that at last they were going to do the things right: A really good fight Batman Vs Deathstroke as a "final prize" of the game. Less tank/ drone battles and more face off great bastards as Deathstroke.
But no. Damn.
I mean that you are in some way right that Arkham games are not made for a one to one fights. Because of that, imagine a fight "arkham way" with two badass guys (with a similar way of combat) as Batman in his prime and Deathstroke (he is always in his prime) with all of a crumbling Gotham City to see. As you said; cat and mouse thing/level design, but now with the entire Gotham as scenery... THAT would have been incredible and the best way to finish the game with an optional and terrific challenge.
I still love the game for what it is.
The atmosphere, the city (especially miagani island), the cinamitc feel with it's seamless transitions from gameplay to ingame "cutscenes", the batmobile (car mode), some (or most) of the side missions, the core gameplay etc... and gliding through the city never gets old.
So yea, still the best batman simulator even if it has some obvious flaws.
The pros far outweigh the cons imo
I agree with you. I liked very much the game as it is, and the pros (all you mentioned) are a lot... But maybe because of that, because of the game is really, really good, one (being a reader of DC comics since childhood) cannot stop thinking that some things and characters was wasted, or done slighty wrong... You know, thinking about the game as could have been "the definitive Batman videogame" and such.
But yes, one can`t have everything...
Same here! Totally disappointed...
He's Nightwing's nemesis, he shouldn't have been in Origins and he doesn't belong here since Rocksteady seems to have had zero interest in using Nightwing.
