My PC build and Arkham Knight and lack of 1440p
Hi

I have a i5 3570k 3.4 ghz, 16 gb RAM, Windows 7 64 bit, 1070 8gb vram(mini)

Game runs really great fully maxed out on 1080p I get frame drops during batmobile so far. nothing to bad..lowest i saw it drop was to 40 frames.

For some reason i can't seem to find 1440p. I have 1920 x 1080, 1920 x 1200 , 1920 x 1440 and two others that are much higher than 1440p. the top is 4 k . I have a 4k tv Samsung. My desktop is set at 1080p because its hard to navigate the desktop at that resolution. Way to small.

I tried 4k and the FPS wasn't that great. Atleast it didn't seem so. the Fraps overlay wasn't anywhere on my scree anymore. so i kept it at 1080p so i can atleast see my FPS.

I imagine the frame drops during batmobile is normal due to the issues the game has had since launch. It s no biggie

Is there anything i should tweak that isn't big a visual difference that will impact performance? I imagine i should be able to play this in 1440 p with my GPU(if i could use that resolution)

Thanks for any help.

The game can usually only offer resolutions that the GPU and monitor report they support. TV's generally do not support anywhere near as many resolutions a computer monitors do. Your TV probably just doesn't support 2560X1440. If your GPU can't manage good frame rates at 4K (and most currently still can't), then just stick to upscaled 1080, that should look fine.

This is why I brought a 2560x1440 monitor seeing how tv's dont really support 1440p. I was hitting 70-90 fps at 1440p with a 1070 so at 4k you should had been in the 40-60 fps range which is still very playable.

Honestly, with this game I don't think anything short of a 1080ti is going to handle 4k playably.

Yeah i tried 4k and it gave me around 30 fps. But i left everything maxed out. Maybe if turned things down. But honestly 1080p is great and its fluid. i might actually be getting more than 60 fps but i capped it because i don't need anything more.

I still get drops to the 40s in the batmobile

Depends on what you consider "playable", but that's pretty much true of everything rignt now. Current GPU Tech isn't quiet yet up to solid 4k@60fps, it's just not there yet.
