Game Minimizes to Taskbar on Startup
Hello,

As stated in the title, AK minimizes to taskbar on startup. It does this every time. IDK what to do to fix it. Any help will be appreciated.

My specs:
Windows 10 1709
4790K
16GB RAM
1080 Ti (Driver 397.64)
Samsung 850 EVO SSD

I run dual monitors, one is 1440p (the one I game on) and the other is 1080p. The game when launched seems to not understand what resolution it should be displayed at and throws a program from one monitor to the other. For example, I have TS on my 1080 monitor. When I launch AK, it makes TS go to my 1440p monitor. It's quite weird.

Clicking on the game icon in the taskbar usually brings it back fullscreen. Is the game icon displaying on the taskbar? If you don't see it, open the Task Manager and double-click on the game app line if it's visible, and if a sub-line opens click on that too.

Yes, I can see it on the taskbar but clicking it does not bring it FS. It attempts to, it seems, but then goes right back to the TB.

Experiment with both monitors at the same resolution.

I just tried clicking on it TS, no luck. I've tried setting my main monitor to 1080p and had no luck. I can't set my 1080 to 1440.

And by TS, I meant Task Manager.

OK, so I think I may have fixed it. I set the game to launch in windowed mode via launch option. This kept the game on my screen and off of the TB. Once I got into the options, I saw that the game was set to run at 5220X3880 or some such crazy resolution. I changed it to my native resolution and closed it down. I am now going to launch it and see what happens.

Do you know what your in-game resoultion is set to? Open the game windowed if possible, then from inside the game's Graphic Options menu select the resolution used on your primary monitor, see if that helps.

No problem, wish I thought of that sooner. Arkham Knight released only slightly before 4k was a thing. Always help to reduce the resolution on the earlier Arkham games, also helps with object and proximity registration when interacting with or scanning objects and NPCs onscreen. Good job :-)
