What's the possible maximum WayneTech points you could gain in one playthrough + DLCs?
Obviously, I am well aware of the fact that you cannot max stuff out in one playthrough, but does anyone know what the final number is anyway?

Also taking the Expansion DLCs etc. into consideration? Since a lot of topics that talked about this were from 2015 or so, before they came out.

I played too long ago and may be wrong, but IIRC every challenge ran from main menu can be completed for 3 waynetech points(plus some number of additional bonus points). So, if you have all DLCs you can do every challenge maps using every hero and batmobile variation, giving you plenty of waynetech points even without starting NG+.

It's possible to get infinite points in a single playthrough by exploiting repeatable XP-giving encounters at watchtowers and checkpoints.

Ignoring that, as mentioned, with all the DLC challenges, you can get more than enough points to max everything out in one playthrough, before even starting Story Plus.

It's hard to say just how many points you could get in a playthrough without taking advantage of exploits and without doing any of the challenges. There are, of course, a fixed number of points from side missions, but the rest depends on how much XP you get.

Long ago, I tried doing a max-XP run of Asylum, but gave up when the combat encounters got too big and it got too hard to keep track of which thugs had what damage on them. This is as far as I got. The battles were pretty tedious and I got demotivated and gave up when I realized I would have gotten more XP if I'd picked a different upgrade.

Anyway, my point is that, back then, figuring out how to get optimal XP from a battle was relatively simple, and actually accomplishing that was (to me, anyway) insanely difficult. Combat (and predator) has gotten much more complicated since then. And there's XP from Batmobile combat, too. It may be possible to come up with a theoretical maximum, but I don't know how to calculate it, and I'm pretty sure you'd have to be doing a tool-assisted run in order to be able to accomplish it.

It's an interesting question, though. I never even bothered to figure out how to maximize combat XP in City, so I'm way behind on thinking about how to answer it.

Interesting! I actually never really got around researching the best possible strategy for maximizing the XPs, since I got so used to previous games giving me XP for trash mobs as well (which is not the case here in AK).

I assume the constant jumping over the opponent is giving some kind of bonuses as well?

Also, I am right now like 70% into the main story, finished all DLC missions and about 80% of Most Wanted (still need Deathstroke and Deacon Blackfire) and all the side missions.
I have not finished most of the watch tower/firefighter missions yet because of the XP glitch but even without them, I still prettty much unlocked all the skills I wanted so far. Apart from the max armors for Batman/car and most of the "gadgets while gliding" skills.

I'll get back with the final number when I am close. Just gotta finish those stupid riddler trophies (I am like 100 in and already hate them with burning passion lol)

The first evade gives a point of variation, but beyond that, evades are not worth any points.

The constant evading is partly because I need to keep track of specific enemies so I can put the correct amount of damage on the correct one. Sometimes the evading is actually necessary to stall because the enemy I want to hit next is still on the ground and I need to wait for him to get up. And sometimes it's just because I need a moment to get my bearings and make sure I'm hitting the right dude.

Another reason is that I have the critical strikes upgrade, but I don't usually want to use critical strikes. (A normal strike plus a Batarang is more XP-efficient than a critical strike when the thugs have enough health.) That means I have to intentionally mess up most of my strikes to be non-critical, which I accomplish by hitting strike "prematurely" while evading.

EDIT: Looks like the thugs were also standing near one another a lot of the time, so I didn't want to accidentally hit the wrong one, or hit two at the same time. So sometimes I was jumping around to wait for them to spread out so I could get a better angle of attack.

Also, I jump around a bit near the beginning while I memorize the features of the thugs so I can keep track of them better. They're randomized, so it's different every time.

Alright, just finished the game for the first time on 120%.

In the end I was missing like... 20-25 WT points, but since the DLCs/additional AR challenges they added over the time was like 80 points in total, I basically just grinded the missing numbers in the menu challenges. :P

So yeah, I guess you can kinda max out everything in one playthrough without cheesing.

Theoretically you can get all of them, either by boosting via the Firefighter missions or doing every challenge and getting 3 stars and doing all side missions.
