On PC or PS4?
I'm not really sure where this is played best.

PS4 has it in it's subcription this month and the season pass is also quite cheap, the main problem there is, that I lose the game, once I end my subscription.
That is a big plus for PC, where I don't have to subscribe to a service to play the game, on the other hand, we have a (still?) bad PC port.

So I'm just not sure on which system the game should be played...

Well, IMO it depends on how powerful your PC rig is...the PC version is far far far superior to the PS4. The PS4 barely runs the game - we're talking a struggling 25-30fps (at best) with middling texture quality at just 1080p.

The game is beautiful in 4k resolution if you have the hardware to run it, so I'd say if you're running a GTX 970 with a solid CPU & at least 16GB of RAM or better, get the PC version - even if you're only playing at 1080p with medium textures, you'll get far better framerates so as to make the game at least enjoyable and playable.

Good call, and remember you can refund the game through Steam for a 100% refund as long as you've played less than 2 hours and owned the game less than 2 weeks. :) Just FYI in case you need to play that card.

If you got good specs, PC 100%, as in any games, no 30 fps lock, ability to use mods and such ect.. Don't forget to unlock your FPS in the .ini file.
SteamApps>common>Batman Arkham Knight>BMGame>Config>BmSystemSettings.ini>"MaxFPS=144.000000".
I think the max for this game is 90, if you got a good monitor as well 144 or 240 hz refresh rate you'll get a very smooth experience.

The PC version is far superior, but requires a competent PC to play at appreciable performance. How much so depends on your personal preferences. Personally I'd say to at least meet the Recommended CPU requirement, and surpass the GPU requirement by a good deal. a 1050 will run the game well, but don't expect perfection.

I've played it for almost 2 hours, it runs perfectly smooth and looks very good with my 1080, the I7 8700K and 16 gigs Ram rig

Glad to hear it. :) I guarantee with a 1080 you are able to take the image quality up significantly above a PS4 along with framerates, so you definitely made the right choice my friend. Enjoy the game!
