Game uninstalled automatically

Had progressed 10% in the game. Now suddenly its asking me to install again. I have no clue what to do. Reinstalling may wipe off all the 3 hours i played this over last 5 days. Please help

Save data and your game data aren't stored in the same place, so reinstalling the game won't affect your progress.

As for why the game uninstalled itself, that's probably a Steam issue. Just out of curiousity, try checking the folder where you have your Steam games installed and see if the Arkham Knight files are still there.

Thats reassuring. Thank You. But its almost 34 GB of download again. I can see all the files i had downloaded earlier in a dedicated folder titled as Batman - Arkham Knight in Steam Library folder. Do you think i should redownload?

If the files are still there, it shouldn't redownload everything again. When you try to download it again it should realize that the files are there.

Verifying the gamefiles is another way of coaxing steam into not downloading the whole thing again.
