Batman Arkham Knight DLC Shadow War (I'm Stuck)

I'm stuck at this part of the mission https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJWpJT3Ohj8&t=544s around the 8:30 mark. There is a wooden piece of some sort that's blocking me from using the remote controlled batarang from opening the door. Is anyone else having this issue or is it just me?

Don't use Explosive Gel to break the weak wall because debris can block the Batarang access. Just punch the wall and you'll be fine.

I got stuck at the same point. Without this thread I would have looked forever for a solution.
