Can you disable jumpscares in any way?

I hate jumpscares and the like. I can deal with creepy stuff, but not anything that appears suddenly. Nobody tell me to grow a pair in the replies.

There are about 5 jumpscares, first one is the Joker introduction in Ace Chemicals, the second one is during the "pick the real Scarecrow -show" in Simon Stagg's zeppelin, third one (or second, not sure when this mission begins) happens when you encounter the Man-bat after grabbing onto a random ledge while flying around in Gotham, fourth one happens during the ending chapter when you encounter a Batman statue in a dark corridor, fifth one after you are done breaking the Batman statues in the graveyard-place and the sixth and final one happens during the halloween special event-thing where the doctor who previously transformed into the Man-bat escaped his jail room and you encounter him again the same way as before.

There are some other jump scares troughout the game but I'm too lazy to point them out. One is at least I think was when the Cloudburst is unleashed and Batman makes it inside him Batmobile. Then right after, the Joker slams onto the windshield explaining how he's gonna take Bruce for a ride after he has lost control.

you forgot the first one where you confront the smoking customer, then get affected by fear toxin and the person becomes a zombie and jumps at you. Also, i never heard of that "pick the real scarecrow" one. I wrote down all the other ones, but can you specify this scarecrow one?

It's not really a jumpy jumpscare but it still might scare you as the Joker yells "Bat luck, Bats!" while you are expecting Scarecrow to appear

The joker scares arent that bad for me. In fact, joker is super funny in this game. I love how when i failed to escort Gordon to the clock tower. he gave this really funny death monologue before the game went back to your last save. I think i can handle it. I have went thru all the joker scares.

Uncontrolled fear is not a benefit.

You're playing a batman game all about fear and you don't know how it works

I understand quite well how fear works, but again, you can't let it control you. you have to control it. You do that by facing your fears which is EXACTLY what Batman does, and why he exists. If you understood anything about Batman you would know that fear is his ally, not his enemy.

The scariest jump scare is when you play New Story+ and Joker makes that spontaneous laugh as he's being cremated.

It's the most bullsh*t jumpscare in the game. First time playing it he does nothing but turn into ash, the second time dude looks like he just woke up from unconsciousness and sounded like he was in pain! Was he really even dead from the 2nd game then?!?!
