Trying to enter grates not working with keyboard controls

The controls say to hit left control + middle mouse, but when I do this, nothing happens. The alternate controls are left control + q, but this also doesn't work. Any suggestions would be great!

Pressing Q just seemed awkward to me, so I remapped my controls to switch Q to E, and I haven't had any issues with it at all. You could always try that. :)

Yeah, the problem is that there's nothing on the control page to remap the middle mouse to Q. I can remap the crouch button, but I don't want to do that. There is no button for dropping down in the controls. Only for crouching. But in-game, it always says to hit lctrl + middle mouse. It doesn't work. I have read some sites say lctrl + Q. But that doesn't work either.

There are certain places where I need to enter a grate and I have to switch to the PS4 controller which I don't like or feel comfortable with. Also, you can't switch from m+k to the PS4 during the game. You have to exit, and reload the game. So if I could just do that, I'd hook up the controller for that and play with m+k for every thing else.

Hmmm, I'm not really sure how to fix your problem then, because that's pretty much all I did. I remapped Q to E, and that's how I enter grates: lctrl + E.

I've been playing for 23 hours so far and it's worked every single time. /shrug

If it helps any, I remapped Cape Stun to E, and Call Batmobile to Q. That's how I'm able to enter grates using E, rather than Q. Middle mouse button still works, but for me it's much faster to use E. Also easier for me to utilize my cape stuns as well.

The only thing that'll be weird about this is that you'll enter the batmobile with Q, but you leave the batmobile with E. Also, when it comes to Riddler/Catwoman quests, Q is the button that'll mostly switch between characters, but if you happen to be inside the batmobile at the time, then it'll be E.

That did it. Remapping the Cape Stun to E and I actually remapped the Batmobile to H because I use that quick batarang Q when I'm fighting a lot. Maybe something is wrong with my middle mouse, although it works when scrolling through gadgets or using it with the explosive gel. Very weird why it wouldn't let me use it to enter grates. Thanks a lot!

Just pick a different keyboard key you want to use for those functions currently bound to middle mouse, that's all.

i use lctrl+Q and it works fine, are you releasing the control key before hitting Q?
Do you have another keyboard to try? Some keyboards don't like having certain keys pressed at the same time.
If you have any special keyboard sofware installed that might cause problems too.

Why? Just double tap the 1 key for that.
