This map doesn't feel like gotham...
I LOVE open world games, and when i heard arkham knight will be 5 times bigger i was pumped!
sadly the map feels small compared to arkham city, and the buildings are more exaggerated than the Tim burton Films. Take arkham city for example, not even the background, but the map itself. it had buildings SLIGHTLY over exaggerated but still looked real, the streets were filthy but belivable. in this game it just doesn't look and feel like a city. it feels more like a racetrack/playground than a city. if i ever want to explore gotham i will load up arkham city for sure, and only knight if i am REALLY BORED.

I think you should take off that nostaglia cap.

^Play through Arkham Knight and then go back to Arkham City. AC does better with having proper interiors like "dungeons," but Knight definitely feels bigger and the level of detail in there is huge. I was at the point where you get the power winch and found there was a terrace over the water with stairs leading either way and a spot where people can have an enclosed fire.
Explore for the Riddler trophies and you ntice how much detail they have. Go beyond them and you'll find even more.

Don't get me wrong guys i love arkham knight as much as the next guy, but in my opinion it looks to overexaggerated for me. In city it looked believable but gone to crap.

Let's be honest. Most of us never visit breaks or founders island. We all just play in miagani. Which is smaller than cities map. I love this games map but it's not gotham for me.

Those goalposts look heavy, maybe you should put them down.

i never said i hated the map of arkham knight, i just don't like the design, i was kind of stupid by saying city's map is bigger, but in my opinion the map is better in city. in fact arkham knight is one of my most played games.

Really right now i am just pi.ssed they didn't add arkham city as an extra island for arkham knight. other than that its great.

Perhaps because they have you whizzing about at high speed in the Batmobile most of the time.

The main point of a new title is visiting places you haven't before. If it's any consolation, you can actually see Arkham City, Arkham Asylum and Wayne Manor in the distance.

That would be a waste of resources, it would be much better to make the main story longer or to create side-quests for the player to do.

Just the idea of making City again in higher poly count would require many, many hours.

/ As for space, I think City used its space the best. Origins feels empty and Knight is more interesting but one can still find many places which could have been used.

You can see the southern island from Arkham Origins too (including the super tall hotel).
