Which map design do you prefer more?

Arkham island (Arkham asylum)
Old Gotham(Arkham city)
New Gotham(Arkham origins)
Gotham City(Arkham knight)

For me Knight wins by a long shot, being bigger than all those other maps combined, but i do also like the creepy style of arkham island, and the abanadoned look of Old Gotham. Not origins though, that game can go f*ck itself.

arkham island, it had a more creepy look and feel of isolation,with the creepy journal entries, arkham knight by far is my favorite game, but the map design in asylum just fits what i like in a batman game more.

I defiantly love the look of arkham asylum. But for me gliding across gotham Gotham and driving the batmobile around the streets gives the Batman feels.

I think they are all fantastic, but my personal favorite was Arkham Origins. You get several varying area's which breaks up the monotony, to a degree. For me it was also kind of awesome to revisit the AC area we were already familiar with, without it being just a carbon copy.

interetsing opinion. i personally hate origins map, but it's good to see somebody who likes it.

Why did you hate it? from my POV the most common reason is people think it's just a lazy "reskin" of the original AC map. That's not true though, they not only built an entirely new area of comparable size but completely rebuilt the old gotham islands from the ground up.

i didn't hate it, i just... was dissapointed. all those tall builidings you can not get on top off.

After a bit of thought. i actually like arkham cities design more. sure arkham knight has a bigger map, but arkham city looks more like gotham. it looks like a real city that's gone to sh#t. arkham knight building don't look real at all. plus there are barely any tall buidlings in knight. none of them are taller than cities buidling apart from like 2 or 3 of them.

Honestly, I prefer the Metroidvania style of Asylum to the open world style of the other ones. I think Arkham Origins had the best open world though.
