If you want to game anything seriously, don't go budget. This site will show different levels of performance based on performance and price but geared towards desktops. Most hardware is the same, CPUs and GPUs will be different, research is required. SSDs are the same for both, HDD's may differ in performance, they are smaller in size, 2.5" vs 3.5".

They have a really nice selection of laptops and other systems. Plenty of customization options. Laptops are pretty much fixed except for ram, storage and accessories.
My rig has been a constant build. My board, CPU and ram are about 3 years old, previous board/cpu went out after about 1.5 years. Multiple HDDs were replaced because they were Seagate Barracudas, the defective model of that brand. I have WD Blacks in there now for media storage with SSDs for games and OS. Looking at a board/CPU/ram replacement because my board is showing signs of wear and tear with the SATA ports. They will be replaced in a year. Building a desktop is more expensive but once built, you can upgrade parts after a few years vs with a laptop, you have to buy a whole new one. Laptop replacement parts for some reason have a tendency to be more expensive, pending on where you get them.
low texture resolution, low level of detail, low shadow quality, everything else turned off except some texture filtering. Going higher with any one of those kills the graphics card, especially because of the small amount of dedicated RAM. However, there is no stuttering and it looks good. I would recommend a gaming laptop with a 1060gtx (3GB RAM minimum) in order to run this game properly. I'm quite sure that 940mx cannot handle it.
which is like a low 700 series or mid 600 series desktop card. Hardly playable.

You can play it but don't expect 1080, maybe 720. Like we told you there is no such thing as "budget gaming." The next round of AAA games will leave that in the dust.
