Vezi statistici:
Why exactly does Scarecrow's plan work? (MASSIVE SPOILERS)
So at the end of the game Batman takes off his mask and reveals his secret idenity to the world. and suddenly..everyone is not afraid of him?

I'm sorry did I miss something? He's still Batman. He's still got all the gadgets all the skills THERE IS NO REASON NOT TO FEAR HIM! The worst case is He's now wanted by the police and You now know who to sue when he breaks your arm in three places. revealing who he is does NOTHING to him as far as I can tell he's still just as powerful and dangerous as he's ever been.

I don't understand why he has to blow himself and everything he owns up in a huge♥♥♥♥♥explosion. this makes no ♥♥♥♥ing sense.

also why is his right arm a full inch longer then the left!?

The story in this game is just bad. its best not to dwell on it:

1) its stated several times that gasmasks are useless against scarecrow's toxin, yet not only are the street thugs able to "sense" when the bomb goes off and get to safety somewhere, they're also perfecty sane after the gas is purged.

2) Characters refer to each other on real name terms several times. Are they not the least bit worried that a thug that was thought to be out cold could hear them?

3) batman can't fart for needing his car, yet goes to the trouble of pandering to the riddler when he could just as easily have taken him out by force.

4) All the cops in the gcpd etc are immune to the toxin too once it goes off for some reason.

5) after what happens to barbara, you'd think batman would actually verify the truth, knowing what the fear gas can do to you i.e. hallucinate.

Really should't have parted ways with Paul Dini lol.
1: I'm willing to bet that most of the thugs got warned by Scarecrow before the bomb went off. its a little silly yeah but its not that bad at least it didn't jump out at me as a plot hole when I was playing the game.

2: I always thought the real names thing was stupid.

3: I don't think Batman had a choice when fighting the riddler. I don't see a way he could have just dragged him out of the floor vault.

4: In a city like Gotham I'm willing to bet the GCPD would be air tight.

5: and lastly Barbara's death fooled me too so I can't blame the bat.

granted these are all issues with the story but unlike Jasson Todd or the whole unmasking thing they never jumped out at me a serious issues with the story while I was playing the game. if its only in retrospect that you notice something like this then its probably not as bad as you think but if your only thoughts during the end credits is "Why the ♥♥♥♥ do people care if its Bruce Wayne" then you know someone messed up.
If you capture all the criminals, the city is safe, but they will break out again. The Batman myth is what had criminals running in fear (see Gordon's ending monologue). With the myth shattered, all of the criminals will come for Bruce Wayne, and basically anyone who was / is a symbol of or associated with Batman. So Bruce forestalls the vendetta that Gotham's criminal underworld would wage on him by faking his own death and becoming, as he hinted to Catwoman, "something worse" (which can be briefly seen in the extended cutscene if you complete everything) to keep them afraid, and on the run. Does it work? Kind of. The criminals do break out again (as demonstrated in A Flip of a Coin and attempted in GCPD Lockdown), but instead of targeting anyone in particular, they just go back to their old ways.

A lot of the street thugs ARE caught up in it (and end up dead afterward). You can clearly see a lot of dead bodies immediately after that incident. Some are able to get underground, but a lot aren't. As for why the dead bodies disappear and the streets fill up again, game mechanics.

yeah I know. But if the gas can penetrate gas filtration systems in gas masks, then I assume a layer of concrete wouldn't be an issue.
Concrete is a HELL of a lot dencer then cloth or gas mask filters. a few feet of that will stop most anything

as for the Dead bodies I thought those were just the fear toxian making batman think everyone was dead.

but just cause they know he's bruce wayne doesn't make him any less Batman.

its like saying why don't we just shoot Clark Kent to get rid of Superman. Because he's not anyless bultproof with out the suit. Batman isn't any less dangerous after being unmasked by Scarecrow. this isn't Bane shattering Bruce's spine were it is Litterly impossible for him to do the things that make batman dangerous

the worst case is someone could sue him for beating the crap out of them. I mean yeah they could smash up wayne mannor but you'd have to be pretty stupid to believe that it doesn't have some crazy bat-tech security system. as for Bruce Wayne's friends?...closeted shut in Bruce Wayne has friends?

It does. The whole point of the Batman was that he could be anyone. Now he's someone with a name, and a home. Someone who can be tracked and followed. Two-Face wants to hit a bank? Make sure to have an eye on Bruce Wayne, then rob the bank without worry.

He is less dangerous. Instead of being a creature of myth, it's just a rich guy in an armored suit.

He does. It's why he wears the mask in the first place.

They know where he lives, where he sleeps and who his loved ones are. He would be fighting people trying to kill him at his own home 24/7 and everyone close to him would be in constant danger. Don't think even for a moment guys like Penguin or Two Face wouldn't put a giant bounty on his head and soon there's snipers and assasins always knocking on the doors of Wayne Manor.

Not to mention all the media, the fanboys/fangirls and every other Batman wannabe or such would be constant harassing him. He'd literally not be able to live at all, he'd have to have Batcave on full defense mode at all times.

Batman is a human. He has to sleep, he has to relax and eat, even for a little bit. Not having secret identity would rob him literally any moment of rest and eventually, he'd just break down.

It's also notiacble in this game that they are less afraid than ever before. Heck, he's in commercials, the mystique is wearing off.
Does nobody understand that Batman is a myth? Most people don't know if he's real or not since he sticks to the shadows unlike Superman. For all people know it could just be a hoax by the government to scare people.
