Force Cage Lag on the new KOTOR II
Alright so to make this short and sweet if that's one way to say it, I played this game to the fullest before and never had a single issue with lag. Most PCs should be able to absolutely kill this game. But for some reason when I, mind you this is both modded and unmodded, go anywhere near the vincinity or direction of force cages I drop to 2 frames instantly.

Now the normal solution would be to hop onto the ini and disable buffering and frame objects ect ect. Sadly, that does not work.

Also setting core affinity also does not seem to work and again, KOTOR II is not that strong of a game where you need to do that in the first place, almost any PC with 4RAM can play this game modded or not without trouble.

Is there any mods out there or ways to totally disable force cages and the like so that the game does not burn to the ground not even halfway into Peragus. I also found out for certain it's a force cage issue since I used my old save and edited it, put it in the new KOTOR patch saves and sprung out of Peragus without lag. However on Telos, it was hell on Earth since you are in a literal scene with force cages and I quit playing after that because there are quite a few scenes with force cages with the Handmaidens after that and much more in the game.

So if anyone has a useful solution, please do offer it. Scrounging around in Reddit, Obsidian, and other forums even related to my mods are no avail. It's a issue totally related to the new KOTOR II patch as I can play the old KOTOR II without achievements and run through just fine.

Have you tried using Windows compatibility mode?

Unfortunetly the force cage lag still persists even after running it under it.

Did you try XP and Vista? Are you using integrated graphics, or a super old GPU? Have you tried turning off V-sync? What mods do you have?

I turned of V-sync, nothing. Tried all the service packs and default Vista, nothing. I have TSLRM and a few dialgoue mods that hardly do anything aside with allow my female character have party members that are supposed to only be for the male exile. I also have KOTOR II save editor. As for specs, I'm using Intel HD Graphics 4000 Mobile, it has 4RAM installed.

It’s cause of the APU. Most APUs have trouble with the update. I mean, if you are planning on playing much on Steam you should be using a better computer either way probably. Could just use the legacy version even if it means you waste 10 bucks to get it on steam, though you could probably get a refund on the grounds that it doesn’t run
