Xbox One Controller Mac Madness!

I installed the Xbox 360 Controllers driver from Github, and it recognizes my controller fine. When I open up Big Picture, I am even able to move around the menus and what not. However, when I go to settings -> controller settings -> Xbox Configuration support, that's when it goes wonky. It does detect my Xbox One Controller, but then it continues to detect like 10 other xbox 360 controllers (none of which exist). I know this is likely an issue between the driver and Steam, but I am really unsure of what to do. I tried deleting and reinstalling the driver 3 times, and the same issue keeps happening. Worst part is, that when I try and open up KOTOR 2 with the controller, it won't open. It does when I just use my mouse, but I grew up playing this game with a controller and that's what I want to use. Yes, I know I have a Mac and not a PC. No, I am not going to get a new pc just to play this game.
