Widescreen issue
Ok. So I got the awesome new TSLRCM mod, then I got the squ1zy resolution patcher, then I edited both the resolution details for the ini file, then I added the 16:9 Hud fixer, and BAM, everything looks and runs fantastic.

Unfortunately, upon speaking with anyone, or doing anything that requires me to make a desicion, I'm at a loss because none of the dialogue options appear on screen. When I'm using the arrow keys I can clearly hear it cycling between the dialogue choices but no matter what I've tried I can't get them to actually appear on screen. I'd say this is a pretty game breaking factor.

Could anyone who has experience with widescreen gaming and Kotor 2 give me any help? I'm trying to run it at 1366x768 on my laptop. If I could just get those damn dialogue options to appear on screen I would be so happy.

that is strange.
fisrt thing is to disable the auto game update.
second, u dont need to change both screen values on the ini (at least i dont). i keep the first one has 1024x768 and the other one with the value i want 1440x900.

I already had the steam updates disabled. I tried your suggestion to no avail. Ughhh...It's weird because it looks as though there's more than enough space for the dialogue, it's just not there.

try their default resolution then go back to the widescreen resolution.

What exactly do you mean when you say that? After I edited the ini and used the res pach and all that, I have gone back to one of the original supported resolutions with the ingame options menu. It works fine, the dialogue is all there, of course it just isn't screen.

If I restart after doing that, I stil run into the same issue.

You are better off just running it at a native resolution in windowed mode and dragging it out of frame to cause it to go into bordered mode. The UI mod alone makes the game look way better like that. I wouldn't use that patch (It's an old executable 1.0a patch I think) as it has bugs like the flying swoop bikes, auto-skipping story dialogue in some places, and cutscene glitches that repeat endlessly (The cutscene with the smuggler stealing Ebon Hawk) that break the game.

What res should I put in the ini file? Or shouldn't I?

Have you checked the resolution options in Kotor 2, my game has 1600x1200 as a resolution option.

This is a known issue with the widescreen patcher: http://pcgamingwiki.com/wiki/Star_Wars:_Knights_of_the_Old_Republic_II_%E2%80%93_The_Sith_Lords#Widescreen_resolution

Resolutions of 1366x768 or under do not display dialogue options. Your choice is to either stick to 1024x768 or use on an external monitor that displays 1920x1080 for example.

I had the same issues with widescreen looking great on my laptop but the 768 height resolution meant no dialogue options were displayed below the games cutscenes which made the game unplayable. With the Squizzy swkotor2 executable installed to allow uniws to work I tested various resolutions in uniws with matching changes in the swkotor2.ini file, eventually settling on the best widescreen compromise for my 1366 x 768 laptop which for this game was a resolution of 1366 x 785. It does cut a little off the top of the screen but not enough to prevent the minimap and top row icons from being accessible and more importantly I can see all the cutscene dialogue. It's certainly a massive improvement over the game's native resolutions anyway.
