Bioware vs Obsidian

If a third Knights of the Old Republic was made (not counting SWTOR, I mean a pure single player game) who would you want to make it? Boiware or Obsidian?

Obsidian, You can notice how much Bioware have changed after ME1 and DAO, well i noticed anyway.. I feel that if Obsidian did the game atleast it would still be a game worthy of kotor 1 and 2. But if Bioware did do a Kotor 3 i definitely would not turn it down.

Truth be told, I probably would because the game would most likely lack the complexity and depth that Obsidian managed to create with KotOR2.
Not that we'll ever get one anytime soon anyway... considering we got TOR and BioWare won't backpedal on anything they've invested so much time and money in. It's sad, really. KotOR had (has?) so much potential.

If Bioware made it I would read a few reviews and wait until it was relatively cheaper if the reviews said it was good.

Obsidian. By far. KOTOR2 was much better and way ahead of the first KOTOR. The story in KOTOR2 is really one of the best out there. Bioware on the other hand doesn't really care about the players anymore, and it has firmly made it's bed with EA.

One could only dream of Obsidian making KOTOR3 (and Avellone taking helm of the story), but I doubt it will ever happen. EA having control of the Star Wars license does not help either. If anything, it would most likely result in another tragedy, like the rushing of KOTOR2.

KOTOR was definitely better than stock KOTOR 2, but if Obsidian wasn't rushed and they finished everything, so that KOTOR 2 did not require a restored content mod, KOTOR 2 would have been better. The thing is, I can't in good judgement compare the two as the only games that are similar enough that I have played by both are KOTOR and KOTOR 2, the latter of which was rushed. But as of now, I'd rather have Obsidian do a potential KOTOR 3 than Bioware now that EA controls it.

Look into Neverwinter Nights (not the MMO) and Neverwinter Nights 2, Bioware did the first Obsidian did the second (they weren't rushed but it is really glitchy unpatched). NWN 2's first expansion, Mask of the Betrayer, is the best game I have ever played.

Obsidian with Avellone at the helm would be a dream come true. There is no game that I want more then a Kotor3 written by Chris Avellone.

You, too? :D I absolutely adore NWN2 and Mask of the Betrayer is - next to KotOR2 - easily one of my favorite games ever, if not my favorite. It's just so engaging and rich.

It costs alot of money, and they would need several planets with as much content as vanilla Skyrim has got or it really wouldn't feel like star wars. It is the kind of money most companies are only willing to invest in an MMO type game.

Obsidian by a LONG LONG LONG SHOT.
They do dialogue, story, characters and ambition much better than Bioware.

Neverwinter Nights 2 >>> NWN1
Expansion packs for NWN2 >>> NWN1 expansions (Especially mask of the betrayer best expansion ever)
KOTOR 2 >>>> KOTOR1+SWTOR
Hell I even enjoyed Alpha Protocol more than 2/3 Mass Effect games to.

Obsidian >>>> Bioware

I prefer Obsidian for their story lines but all their games often feel like beta releases at launch. Obviously there are good reasons for this with KotOR II, but I don't think I've ever played an Obsidian title that didn't require a fan patch to fix a ton of things. Bioware may play things overly safe with their plots, but their games always feel more polished.
