Report a translation problem
tried out without sucess to run it in window mode already by changing the value in the configuration data, but I dont know how to run a program on a single core nor I know how to change my graphic card options. And please go more into detail with the sound thingy you mentioned
I tried updating my graphics, but even that didn't help the disc version.

First, I deleted the leclogo.bik, ObsidianEnt.bik, and Legal.bik files from the game's folder (I just found them by searching, so I'm not sure what subfolders they were in). That gets rid of the opening videos (transitioning from those videos to the game used to make my old Kotor 1 game crash).
THEN open your SWKOTOR2.ini configuration file. In it you can overwrite all of the content with the following junk and it should set it to launch in windowed mode. You can change to full-screen once you're playing if it really matters, but for whatever reason it doesn't seem to launch in full-screen. Here's the content of my SWKOTOR2.ini file:
