Game Breaking Glitch

Howdy all. Got a bit of a pickle here, preventing me from continuing the game. There appears to be multiple errors in gameplay with KOTOR II, one of which is now rendering the game impossible to continue.

The main issue is with a glitch on Telos, in the ice plateau. When I first enter the door after the battle with the three HK's, the game cuts to two handmaiden sisters going to Bao-Dur's unconscious body. Then it cuts to my PC, Kreia, and Atton entering the Academy (which I guess isn't suppose to happen, since according to the conversations they are in the force cells?).

At this point, I can talk to Handmaiden and the sisters, talk to Atris (with some bugs on camera angles and character movement), and engage in sparring with the sisters. I can talk to T3, but he remains in an energy cell. Atton and Kreia remain by the door. If I attempt to talk to Kreia, she turns to me, but no conversation occurs. If I attempt to talk to Atton, two options appear:

1. [Cheat Node] - Jump to the PC Confrontation with Atris.
2. [Cheat Node] - Continue with Kreia Conversation

Option 1 repeats the first Atris conversation (with more bugs on camera angles and character movement), but changes nothing else. Option 2 does nothing.

I cannot board the Hawk without my party, but I cannot engage in any action which would get my party to join me.

This is the steam version of KOTOR II, run on Windows 7. I have no mods and no applications running that could affect gameplay. Any ideas how I can break this error and move forward?

Other noticeable glitches have included conversations where one person's dialogue is skipped over entirely (making following the storyline a bit difficult), and party members not following the PC properly and getting stranded behind.

Any advice anyone can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Reload the last save before entering the academy and in the conversation with the handmaiden, do not pick the option of "we mean no harm". Just ask them who they are first and then continue after that and see if that works for you.

Awesome! That did the trick. Game is still buggy as all get out, but at least now I can proceed. Thanks kindly!

Suggestion for nex time; Install TSRLCM.

Fixes many MANY bugs, including this one...

BTW, you should have downloaded TSL:RCM - restored content mod which is fixing all glitches and bugs. You might want it the next time you're playing the game through.

Actually, it doesn't fix this glitch as I have the latest version of it and this glitch was not fixed for me.

My apologies, but you are quite wrong in that regard as it is definitly installed. I have already seen quite a bit of the added content already.

I would like it if you could inform me as to where I might have gone wrong with the installation of the mod. I will be happy to fix it.

If you have installed it properly, you should see such LOGO in the main menu.

Specificially ones with "hanmaiden.dlg"?

The other mods I run work with it. I checked. The problem was it wasn't installed in the correct location.

I got the same bug aswell today with the HM's. gonna see if the trick mentioned above will help.
