bug in rebuilt jedi enclave
I'm playing a DS female. I killed all the jedi masters except Zaz Kel Ell. Zaz is meeting me in the rebuilt jedi enclave. The cutscenes seem to be working ok, in that I can get to the encounter. But when I get to Zaz, I listen to him, then tell him its time to fight. The problem is that he runs at me but does not become a target. He just stops right next to me, and my icon turns to the conversation icon. I can not target him, hit him, trigger a mine, or anything. I can't fight him, and I can't leave the courtyard as all the doors are locked.
I've reloaded multiple saves. No help.
I've removed all my mods except the Restored content 1.8.2. No help.
So now I seem to be stuck. Any suggestions? Also, I'll take a saved game from someone who is going darkside. I'm close to finishing this buggy game and just want to have the small satisfaction of completing it.

Possible causes I can think of;

1) You have only the TSLRCM 1.8.2 patch, not the full install. Hence having the .dlg of 1.8.2, but none of the previous scripts doing stuff.
2) You have a a_jediatk2.ncs from another mod in your override, making mine not function (it's the one that turns them hostile).

Also you mention "buggy game"... which would be odd with 1.8.2. Any examples?

Thanks for the reply. The buggy game comment is my own fault. I installed a lightsaber mod that wasn't on the 1.8.2 list (thought it was, but later discovered you guys cleared a different lightsaber mod), and as a result I can't get HK47 to advance his quest on the droid factory (my journal will only say we've encountered one HK50 group, no matter how many we kill on any planet). Further, I've had to warp to G0T0's ship because the wrong cutscene kept playing getting me stuck in a loop. My fight for Dantooine also was stuck in a cutscene loop and wouldn't let me side with mercenaries (I advanced that one by siding with the settlers). All of this I blame on the lightsaber mod, but I actually don't know that for sure. I tried to uninstall it and my game won't even load, so now I have to play with it to finish.

Can I get the correct a_jediatk2.ncs file and overwrite the one I have? I have the full 1.8.2 install (downloaded full install, not patch; 61.6 mb).

btw, love the work you did on 1.8.2. I tried to play Kotor2 back in 2005 and gave up on it b/c it was so buggy. This has been a fun romp. As you know, I'm almost done. I've thought about just warping to Sion's ship. Would that work?

Sounds like the mod in question overwrote globalscat.2da. Which could explains all the issues.
* HK-50 attacks raise global. Since you lack it it wont advance...
* The Duros scene increases a global by one so the next time a new scene is given. Again, without it, it repeated.
* Looping at Dantooine was propably also caused by not having a global advancing the scene.
* Lacking globals with Zez-Kai Ell encounter on Dantooine.

So how do I fix this global problem? Can I reinstall 1.8.2 and it overwrite the files in question?

Yeah.
However sometimes this doesn't make globals actually work in the savegame, it usually does.
Doesn't mean it fixes it if the global had to be set earlier though (like, in the case of the Duros on NS).
But best bet, just use a save before even entering the academy.

Well, sadly it did not work. Thanks for the advice, though, Hassat Hunter. I just warped to the sith ship and am fighting my way through. Missed a bit of story, though.
