How to install Kotor 2 restoration mod?

im kinda new to modding so a step basis intrustions would be awesome!
I really want to enjoy Kotor2 to its fullest intent!

I cant quite remember how i found the folder, but this should work
1. Download restoration mod from moddb(thats where i got it from)
2. install it to your knights 2 folder, this is what im forgetting, i think its found in program files(x86) under steam, maybe in the steam apps.
You just have to stick the mod in the game folder and you should be good to go.
When you start the game up itl say restored content mod,ect in the main menu. I hope this helps!

i did this but its still not showing up as installed in the main menu any help please?

Here years later to say I can't get the installer working. Apparently the installer exe is supposed to ask me to specify my installation location but it just doesn't for no discernable reason. Plus i can tell the installation didn't work since the menu screen doesn't change. I'd use the workshop version, but it doesn't work with any of the mods I want to install, only the installer version works. I haven't found a single fix for this anywhere and it's starting to drive me crazy and I'm close to giving up entirely

I had this exact same problem. The installer did not ask me to specify the installation location, it installed everything in C:\Program Files (x86)\lucasarts\swkotor2 and that did not work.
In case this helps someone else, HERE IS HOW I FIXED IT: after installation, I copied everything in that C:\Program Files folder and pasted it here:
C:\Steamgames\steamapps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II
[or whatever your location is for the steamapps\common\KOTOR folder]. I accepted when it asked me to overwrite files. Then bam, the restored content logo finally showed up on the main menu when I launched the game. Seems to have worked; hope this helps.
