Yeah, for future reference: Kotor 2 tends to strongly dislike and discourages Neutral alignments/choices.
In fact, one choice you'll face eventually on a quest will punish you for picking the "middle of the road" path (the correct choice is to pick a side, regardless of whether you're Light or Dark)
By the way, I'm curious: why were you picking a neutral path on Iziz? To gain favor with Kreia, or just for the fun of being sneaky (which is definitely cool)?
I'm okay with the fact that the game railroaded me because of some choices I made, but it sucks I can't express my feeling of regret throughout. Instead the game assumes you just want to be evil.
And yes, the Jedi Master would have all been killed, no matter what. They were pretty useless. And after playing Kotor 1, it was kinda nice to see that jerk, Master Vrook, get what he had coming.
This game's message is against being neutral. In fact, on a sidequest on Korriban, you get punished harshly for taking a pacifist, "middle of the road" choice. The game encourages you to take action, either good or evil, against the problem that faces the galaxy.
As for Kreia...you really have to take her philosphies with a grain of salt. Considering her backstory, it makes sense to do so.
In fact, as long as you tell her "I will think on your words", you'll likely never lose influence with her. She doesn't care which side you're on, just as long as you value her opinion.
Only if you kill any of the Royalist Captains are you locked into one or the other...
If not, you're free to choice at your leasure during the cafe scene. They make it pretty clear they want to kill the Queen and Kavar (one of the rejection options even reads "No, I wont side with you, I want Kavar alive"...)
Did you choose a "I support Vaklu" dialogue when conversing with the lead crowd protestor and when you are asked to give your opinion on Onderon leadership to the Twilek and his friend (they are located near the Sky ramp)?
I believe I did.
If you kill ONE captain, you're forced down Vaklu's path.
I killed the one by the Sky Ramp and I am telling you I was forced to side with the queen.
Did you talk to the woman who gives you the quest afterwards and then talk to the pro-Vaklu protestor again? Rile the crowd up into a violent riot against the Queen?
Yeah. Still doesn't work. I'm probably going to try to just start Onderon over
