Step 1 - Activate HK47. Works the same as the base game except TSLRCM has more teams of HK50s scattered across the planets from which you can obtain HK47's parts. So go where you like, you'll get the parts for HK47 quick enough.
Step 2 - IMMEDIATELY upon activating HK47 have the initial conversation with him, then start a second conversation and explore the dialogue options until you find the sequence about the sonic imprint sensor.
Step 3 - Keep scrapping teams of HK50s until, upon returning to the Ebon Hawk, you get a cutscene (you'll know when you get it, it is rather interesting - if you like HK47 that is).
Step 4 - At the appropriate point during the end game you are taken to the HK factory.
Hint - HK47 does the factory on his own so make sure he is fully equipped before you head to Dantooine and the meeting with the jedi masters. Actually, also make sure you have a fully upgraded disruptor rifle in your inventory as well - you'll find out why during the factory sequence.
I'm not very strict on it, but like I said before, after leaving Telos you have two parts left for HK-47 and if you go to Nar Shaddaa first, you can get one from the HK's T3 takes on and then buy the other from one of the merchants.
Also, does it matter how much influence you have with him?
You will encounter additional HK50s on Nar Shadaa anyway so it is easier to get the parts for HK47. Incidentally, you don't have to have HK47 with you when taking on the HK50s in order to find the factory.
Influence doesn't matter for the sonic sensor dialogue, HK47 is very keen to take out the factory for his own reasons. Just the sooner you trigger the mission, the sooner you complete the mission and trigger the cutscene.
someone else said that HK needs to be present when you defeat 3 groups of the knock off HKs and I never did that because he was always dead weight in those fights so I thought it was bad to have him around for those fights (and it wasn't like he had unique dialogue after ever defeating those groups so what the hell lol)
No, HK-47 does not need to be present when you defeat the 3 teams of HK-50's. As you say, he does not fight so is just dead weight.
First of all you have to play with TSLRCM active. You simply do not get the HK factory without that mod.
Second, after you have activated HK-47 and had the conversations with him ( krek beetles then show him the sonic sensor ) you should see the quest to eliminate 3 teams of HK-50's in your journal. If it is not there something is not right and you need to get the quest in the journal before you go any further. As you eliminate HK-50's the journal will keep you updated on progress. Once you eliminate the third team (be aware that not every team of HK-50's you encounter will be counted towards the 3 you need to take out) then the next time you return to the Hawk you will get a cutscene of HK-47 "extracting" the information from a captured HK-50. The journal should update.
After that there is nothing to do but keep going. After you reach Citadel Station at Telos again when it is attacked by the Sith, HK-47 goes alone to the HK-50 factory. When you complete it you get a different cutscene resolving the G0-T0/remote standoff on Malachor V.
If it hasn't happened it is likely you have not done something exactly as required. It is important to keep reviewing the active quests in your journal to monitor progress on this one. If it is not there or should have updated but hasn't, you need to look into it.
If the quest appears in your journal and you complete it but do not get the HK factory when the Sith attack Telos your game may be bugged.
What errors? Can you be more specific?
