Problem z uruchomieniem,a raczej z graniem w Star Wars : KOTOR 2
Jak u góry mam problem z Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic 2.Otóż gdy włączam grę to po jakimś czasie a dokładnie wtedy gdy stworzę postać grę mi wywala na pulpit z komunikatem :

Obrócić v-sync, trawa, i cienie. Włączanie trybu windows w ini plik konfiguracyjny powinien pomóc także.

Moim Polskim nie jest tak dobry jak kiedyś. Przepraszam. Jaka jest twoja karta graficzna model?

Turning off Frame Buffer Effects helps. The game tends to crash when switching to a video, if the Frame Buffer Effects are turned on.

I run this game on a laptop with Windows 8, so your laptop should be able to play the game. But it does become unstable when playing it on a computer that displays on widescreen. Which is why you might have to force it to play in windowed mode.

I apologize for the badly translated post. I don't speak Polish, and had to use a translation program.

------------------

Dlatego trzeba zmusić go do gry w trybie okienkowym.

Przepraszam źle przetłumaczone postu. Nie mówią po polsku i musiałem użyć programu do tłumaczenia.

okay thank you for trying to help me,but where I must go to turn on windowed mode ?
Jakub Mar 14, 2015 @ 1:57am
When I turn on game this is in settings ?

No. Although that would have been nice.

To make it run in windowed mode, you have to go into the game's folder, and open the swkotor2.ini file. Then, make the following changes:

- Under [Graphics Options], add the following: AllowWindowedMode=1

- Under both [Display Options] and [Graphics Options], you'll find Fullscreen=1. Change both of those to say Fullscreen=0

After that, you'll have to start the game with the swkotor2.exe icon. (If you try to start the game with the RunGameID icon or from the Steam Library, the game will ignore the changes you made.)

If the game opens a window, then you'll know it worked. But if the screen goes black, then it's still in fullscreen.

and I have last question I must save this ? because I was trying to save this AllowWindowedMode=1 and it doesn't work ( I can't save this).Ok thanks for this I will try this later :D

When you tried to save the file, did it open a box asking where you wanted it saved?

If yes, then that's UAC interfering. To prevent that, you'll need to move the swkotor.ini to somewhere else (like the desktop) and make the changes there, save it, and then move the file back to the game's folder.

I have windowed mode, but it still doesn't work please make more suggestions, because I really want to play this :(
funewchie Jul 9, 2015 @ 10:23am
Were you ever able to save the changes to swkotor2.ini ?
---

I also have to ask: When you start the game, does it open a window, or does the screen go black?
If the screen goes black, then the game is still trying to open in fullscreen and will crash.

But if it opens a window, then you should be okay, with that one issue.

Game opening in window, and I done this : To prevent that, you'll need to move the swkotor.ini to somewhere else (like the desktop) and make the changes there, save it, and then move the file back to the game's folder.

This is tricky. When the game crashes at character creation, it's usually because the Frame Buffer Effects are turned on. Turning that off usually fixes the problem.

(The Frame Buffer Effects cause the game to crash when it loads a movie. I know, you said you turned movies off, but that option doesn't actually do anything. The movies will still play regardless.)
----

Could you post what your swkotor2.ini says, specifically the [Display Options] and [Graphics Options]?
That might give an idea of what's wrong.

(Although, if the file isn't in English, I'm not sure I can help a whole lot. But I'll try.)

If that fails, you might have to do something drastic.
-----

Incidentally, if English speakers are wondering what this thread is asking about:

His game is crashing after character creation. He said he's turned off movies, installed TSLRCM, and is running the game as an administrator.

Where I must turn of Frame Buffer Effects and where can I install TSLRCM ?
