Jedi Sentinel or Guardian for a future Weapon Master?
Hey guys, after just recently finishing up a new playthrough on the first KoToR I decided to start up the second one after who knows how long I've first played it. In the first game I did a Soldier/Consular build that was pretty awesome but this time around I want to do pure melee(Gotta love them lightsabers.) and I was wondering what the better starting class was. I heard that the Guardian wasn't as great this time around which disappointed me because it was my all time favorite class from the first game. I've been looking up stuff about the Sentinel (Never really got around to playing one before) and I like it's utility outside of combat. The headline pretty much sums it all up but I was just wondering what peoples opinions about the two are. Thanks in advance!

I prefer guardian over sentinel because you get force jump, and couple more feats. I've never really used a sentinel character before because half of your teammates become sentinels (Atton, Visas, Mira).

I guess that's true. I've always prefered the Guardian myself. Force jump was a lot of fun. I'll probably end up doing two different playthroughs at some point though, one a Sentinel just for a slightly different experience, and the other a Guardian for the old times sake. I know I'm not going to like this though... I never did like Peragus at all lol.

Sentinels have gotten beefed up in this game. Their growths per level are close to the Guardian's.
They even get almost as many feats as Guardians.

If you want a lightsaber, you going to be waiting for a while.
You have to first find 3 or so components to build the lightsaber. How fast you get your lightsaber depends on which worlds you visit first. (I think Nar Shadaa lets you get it the fastest).

It also kinda hurt the Guardian, in that you used to beef up Constitution for that class, except now you'll be doing that anyways to use Implants. So, most of what made that class great, is already in use for all classes.
And the stat gains are rivaled by the Sentinel.

Yeah I've done a bit of research on Sentinels. I ended up making one and a Guardian file for later. Getting the Lightsaber was a bit annoying in the second game. It's always the thing I want the most lol. I didn't think that you could get it faster by going to certain planets, I always figured it was randomly generated or something.

What would be the recommended starting stats for a Sentinel anyways? In the new file I did

int 14
wis 10
char 12

I usually go for my sentinel

wis 14
char 12 or 14 (don't quite recall the point left)
