How to enable KOTOR2 cheats on 10.10.4
I have been editing the various ini files, which are editable on a Mac, to no avail. In game, whenever I press ` or shift+`, the invisible console does not get activated --- since when I press WASD the character still moves.

I suspect this might be related to the fact I cannot start the game by double-clicking the KOTOR2 App in my SteamApps/common/ folder, as I can do for other Apps. When I double-click on the App in Finder I get the following error:

"This game requires Steam to run. Make sure the Steam app is running, you are logged in a Steam account, and your game is in the library. ..."

This happens even if the Steam App is running, I am logged in, and the game is in my library and collecting stats.

To run KOTOR 2 I must click on the "play" icon in the Steam App.

Perhaps that is using a different ini file? Thoughts anyone?

Why dont you just single click the games name in Steam Library to run it?

Here is what my edit did to my "Game Options" in the swkotor2.ini file

I just put my cursor at the end of game options line and pressed enter, which allowed me to put the enable cheats line directly under it.

Thank you. That is what I do to play.

My issue is that setting EnableCheats=1 in the swkotor2.ini file is not actually enabling cheats. I am trying to find out why. I was suggesting that the fact that I cannot start the game from Finder might provide a clue (to someone other than me) as to what is preventing the App from parsing the modified swkotor2.ini file correctly --- that is, enabling cheats when there is a clear block:

EnableCheats=1

You do know that the console does not show ingame, nor does the text you type?
once you press the tilde/grave key, you just type the exact code then press enter.
If it isnt typing a command, you will pop open windows as you type.

Yes my PC also has the swplayer.ini but the enable cheats does not go in that file

I switched mine to enable cheats=1 but how do you actually make use of the cheats in game. I remember you have to press some button but what is it? Also what are the available cheats for this game?
