Can't get lightside mastery

Upon reaching the refugee sector in Nar Shadda to complete the "Help Lootra find his wife" quest, I had to kill the two exchange guards and gained a dark side point. And after that incident, I lost Light side mastery and have been stuck in the same place on the meter regardless of my actions afterwards. Can you not gain mastery after putting a point to the otherside? Any response would be much appreciated.

The game flexes sometimes you get darkside points for choices but there are more than plenty lightside to be gained for mastery and the +3 str

Best thing to do in my opinion is to go solo to Lootra and kill him and easily recieve the lightsaber piece for your lightsaber quest\

Thanks for the reply, I was just wondering because I had made many lightside choices since then that it had locked me out of the mastery

You can gain mastery after getting dark points, it may just take a couple more light side points gained to get back there.

i think u wont get the bonus stats even when u are 100% light

You will, and same on the dark side, one light act doesn't exclude you from the mastery bonus.

ok OP keep me posted wether u get stat bonus again, i tried it once and it didnt work.

For some reason, you get a lot of dark side points killing those two guards, even though they're "bad guys." it takes a while and quite a few good deeds to get back up to mastery, unfortunately.

Alignment shifts are "weighted"

Meaning LS acts while being heavy LS gives less points, DS acts while being heavy LS gives many points and vice-versa.

They also come in 3 variations, "heavy" "medium" and "light".

Got mastery back, along with the bonuses.
