Difficulty...
This sounds a bit weak, but I'm having real difficulty beating the mercenaries on Telos surface, restoration camp. I can't get past the first group of four, let alone the others further in the camp. I've even dropped the difficulty to Easy - the shame of it.
I have Atton with me and the new Spiky Head guy who's good at forcefields apparently.
Any help?

my advice, take the old hag with you instead of atton her force powers are hella useful.

Thanks - I'll reload the last Citadel save.

Double check your damage for Bao Dur unarmed. He gets some bonuses to unarmed combat.

Will do - cheers :)

This has always been an issue in KotOR 2 - the difficulty curve can be extremely steep - it should become very easy on 'Normal' once you have a lightsaber.

As for the mercenaries - the above advice, and also - try making heavily upgraded weapons and armour for your party before you go. And use shields (including melee shields for any melee fighters). And make use of Bao-Dur's Shield Breaker attack - just have him remove the shields of the enemies one by one at the start of each fight. This will help, especially if you use blasters.

The fight in the camp is really, really hard. There's a ton of enemies and you don't have good AoE at that point. Don't feel too bad if you have to abuse line of sight to break combat and recover.

The game becomes very easy the moment you start to actually know how to build characters.
Even a consular can curbstomp anyone with only a sword if built correctly (And also use force powers like ,well, a consular)

Also useful advice. If you can become a super badass dude like the above, then you'll be fine. Perhaps protein shakes?

I don't know if a mod changes it but you should be able to switch to Kreia if you want without reloading a save.

This. Use force heal over medpacks while you're taking a break from combat and break the line of sight.

Upgrade all your gear and weapons as above and once you make a lightsaber the game does become pretty easy.

If you want, I could put some builds, even if that drains some of the fun out of the game.

Hell, I tend to play Sentinel class almost exclusively and I can cut myself down to just Unarmed and force powers - and still drop opponents with only minor risk - usually by the end of Telos. If not by the end of Telos, then definitely by the end of my first post-Telos planet.

I'll also echo this. Plus, Stealth is a very good friend, a relationship that should be well cultivated (if you don't have any stealth generators, remember that Kreia has Force Camouflage and can go into Stealth Mode without one).

That battle is the hardest in the game, if only because the turrets are darn powerful, and the AI has the nasty habit of trying to get the entire map in on the fight.

Use Bao-Dur to break personal shields and make absolute sure after the first group is dead your allies do not target and attack others. Keep the turrets for last.

Well that's a lot of really good advice, thank you everyone. There's a lot more to this than I remember from first time round on Xbox! Thanks to all of you.
