Persuade and Mind Affect Mind do the same thing?
If you have Affect Mind or Dominate Mind, is there any reason of using Persuade?

Persuade still affects your chances of success on dialog choices that aren't marked [Affect Mind]. The Force power merely adds more dialog options.

Using Force Persuade often brings you Dark Side points, while regular Persuade usually won't (as you're not violating the person's free will - you're just using your natural charisma and charm to convince them to do a certain thing of their own free will.)

With Force Persuade...yeah, you're completely overpowering their will and brainwashing them to obey your command. Which is generally considered evil.

That said, if you use Force Persuade for a noble reason (like preventing a riot), you're forgiven for using it and won't get Dark Side points (in this case: it was a better outcome than slaughtering the rioters).

Force Persuade is much more brute force. It can be funny, and it sometimes is the only way to resolve a situation nonviolently, but Persuade is preferable IMO, because you're actually winning an argument/confounding your opponent logically somehow.

The exile, up until setting foot on Peragus.

That...or any Jedi walking through the forests of planet Myrkr (which have the Force-cancelling Ysalamiri within).

A Jedi that doesn't want to be dependent upon the Force. Follows the teachings of Keria.
