"If you get a really annoying sound bug, rename or delete this file: amb_elecwire_A.wav in Steam\steamapps\common\Knights of the Old Republic II\StreamSounds

If it's the same bug I had, that will fix it for you."

Quoted from another topic, seems to work for me.

Yea, this bug WILL be appearing in other places!

In the Ebon Hawk tutorial/prologue, you notice the sound comes from goning near a data screen.
But, then in a bit, this ♥♥♥♥♥ up and becomes hearable ANYWHÈRE - evne in the menue screen.

THis happens EVERY time this sounds apears.
And the only fix is a save and relaod - but, whoever said to jsut save and relaod - this is a temporary fix... Not a agreeable compromise to be able to play the game without tinitus inducing sound effects taht bug out.

But, I will tyr this fix. If it works, then it would be SOOO ncie!
Becasue I was jsut about to refund this game inbefore I looked in the forusm for help.

Will update on progress.

I renamed the file amb_elecwire_A.wav and it worked, don't have that annoying sound anymore. I'm using an onboard Realtek soundcard, are you guys using the same soundcard?
If you rename/delete that file there's only ONE other sound that loops and it's in the room right before the Peragus Fuel Depot elevator as a droid.

Other than that -- the game works fine.
