4k resolutions
The game won't let me pick any resolution above 1080p, even with DSR resolutions enabled in the NVCP. What gives? I set a custom resolution in the config file and it forces the game into 1024x764 resolution. The update claimed that the game now supports 4k+ resolutions.

You have to change the resolution on your desktop to get the higher resolutions to work.

Well that's kinda lame, but oh well, I'll just play at 1080p with 8xAA. This will be my first ever playthrough of this game, and I'm playing with the restored content mod. I love the first mass effect game and this seems fairly similar, except star wars and it's a more hardcore RPG, so i'm pretty stoked about it. Wish me luck...

Having the same issue. Highest I can go is 2560x1440, despite my desktop being set at 3840x2160.

The game does support 4k as I am running the game at 4k. Key difference is that I am not using DSR and 4k is my native res.

Yea, I guess it just doesn't support DSR. No big deal. Changing my desktop resolution did the trick, but I'll keep it at 1080p anyways because I don't like switching my desktop back and forth

Any advice on which class I should use on my first playthrough? It says that Jedi Consular is for advanced players only, so should I use the Guardian or the Sentinel?

IMO the best beginner class is the Sentinel since it's a nice balance between the other two.
The jedi guardian while force sensitive doesn't really use the force much compared to the other two and as such has a much lower force pool to draw from. This is offset by being the class that has the most feats/skills to spend per level but also least powers to spend.
As for "advanced players" it's mostly just letting you know that compared to the other two classes the jedi consular is much squishier as well as less feats/skills to spend on level ups but it's offset in theory by you having a much deeper force pool to draw from so you can use your powers much more frequently and IIRC it also gains powers fastest.

The game acts as if its actually in Borderless Fullscreen and not Exclusive Fullscreen.
Ex. I can still see Skype messages...

That may by why you cant get DSR to work while keeping your Monitor at your native res. Similar issue with Cities Skylines and DSR.

I had this same issue. In swkotor2.ini under [Display Options] I changed the height and width to 3840x2160 (It was set to 640x480 for me) and changed the same thing under [Graphics Options].

After that, when I booted up the game, things were a bit more messed up than before, but I was able to make it to the resolution settings, and 3840x2160 was now an actual in menu option. I selected it, and it pretty much fixed the resolution problems I was having with the game itself, and the cutscenes.

Weird, but worked for me.

I was having the same issue. Here's the fix that worked:
1. Navigate to the swkotor.exe file and right click
2. Go to the compatibility tab
3. Check the box for 'Disable display scaling on high DPI settings
4. Crank it up to 4K in game

Good luck!

I tried this and still no good. Im using a 1200p monitor, could this be the issue? Do I have to enable DSR to get the options in game or is this fix meant to bypass that?
