Ya, I plugged in my 360 controller and it works

WOW nice I never thought they would add controller support after all this time :) Is the first game the same?

I'm not having any luck with game recognizing controller

The haven't done anything with the first game but I'm hoping they will.

The update doesn't seem to be coming my way. I have installed and reinstalled, but I have no widescreen support or controller support.

Anyone else?

maybe it's not out in all regions yet? They only made a post about the update about an hour ago. Might have to wait

Hmm... one way to find out: check your override folder. If it's empty, you have the old version. If not, then you have files for the gamepad and Force Speed effect functions, and therefore the new version.

Although the controller seems to work fine for me lots of the prompts are still "Press E" and things like that, so I'm guessing buttons a lot of the time.

When the on screen prompts say something like "Select the Security skill from your action bar" - how do I do that with a controller?

I'm in a similar boat: wireless 360 controller seems to work, but I need to move the mouse cursor out of the way first and I see no button prompts, x360, ps3 or otherwise.

Yeah, I switched back to k+m. It's harder to walk around but much easier to perform actions.
It does have full controller support. However, it's not the controller support you are looking for. It's subpar garbage that needs to be worked on and I cannot fathom how they even butchered the simplest of features. However, if you want controller support that was similar to the Original Xbox version, just watch my YouTube video and download the Xpadder and my files. Feels more natural with mine. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_7a3XeWhC-4

The port is more "smooth" in transition, but the controls are just ♥♥♥♥♥♥ right up.

Xpadder is a Windows app, not really any use to me.

I'm sorry for your loss. However, I shouldn't be the one who is apologizing. Aspyre should be the one. After all, they were the ones who thought it'd be a great idea to screw up the controls. If Obsidian added their own controller support through a update years prior, I wouldn't have had to made a controller profile for this game.

Anyone on linux use antimicro to map your controller, works like a charm out of the box. Better than any controller support loaded into this release.

My controller works fine, the default control scheme just sucks.
