So Has Anyone Else Looted Nihilus?

It's been years since I've played the game (10 years), and even then my only run was as a dark side Sith Lord. I remember taking Visas and Mandalore/Canderous Ordo with me to the Ravager and defeating Nihilus, yet when the effect triggered to make his body disappear... it didn't.

Has anyone else encountered this? I've just been wondering.

On my playthrough, Nihilus' body had:

-Dark Jedi Master Robe (Really helped to find Pre-Malachor)
-Red Lightsaber/crystal
-His mask

The game is notoriously buggy. You really got lucky, unless you play with mods, in which case there probably a few which enable you being able to loot Nihilus.

Although, it might have something to do with the choices you are able to make during the battle, but I never killed off Visas, so I can't be sure :/

Nope, without any mods he *will* dissapear.

The only thing I've ever thought you can get from him was his mask. A convo option, demanding Visas bring you it.

I made sure to create a savepoint right before the fight, just so I can explore some of the dialogue options. On my first try I told Visas to bring it to me. On my second try, I don't quite remember, and on my third try, I asked Visas to give me the mask, but the cutscene bugged out.

Nihilus's body remained when it was supposed to disappear. The red fog and lightning effect played out, but his body never disappeared. This let me personally loot it and obtain a set of Dark Jedi Master Robes as well as his red lightsaber.

I've never been able to loot it whether it was the original Xbox version or with mods on this version; all I've ever been able to get is his mask by telling Visas, "Look on his face then bring me the mask."

That's the official way, but if you're extremely lucky you may be able to glitch out the final part of the cutscene and prevent Nihilus's body from disappearing. A great help on my first dark side run on the game to get the Dark Jedi Master Robes early on.

And you can find much better robes with TSLRCM who fixed it's dropbugs.
