double bladed lighsaber?
So I've just started a second play through and was wondering what the benefits and drawbacks are of the double bladed saber. I played through 1 & 2 using 2 single sabers.

Pros:
  • 2 Attacks per turn, by default
  • More per hit damage than 2 regular sabers
  • Looks damn cool
Cons:
  • Less accurate than 2 regular sabers or 1 regular saber and a short lightsaber
  • Can't be two different colors
  • Can't potentially inflict as many debuffs per turn

Personally, I like doublesabers better, but for awhile I was a big fan of using 2 regular lightsabers instead.

I hate double bladed lightsabres. Knights use swords, not quaterstaves. ♥♥♥♥ you Darth Maul.

duble blads are harder to use

Biggest difference is that with 2 sabers you can take advantage of 4 crystals where a double blade can only use 2.

Bear in mind though that 3 ranks in duelling is like having +6 str and dex. Thats pretty awesome.

The duelling feat only applies to wielding one single handed weapon - not any double bladed weapons as they come under the two weapon fighting feat.

Yeah I'm just against against all duel wielding and double bladed lightsabers. It's the ultimate pathetic thing in Star Wars.

Two-Weapon Fighting is the same feat applied to wielding two single-handed weapons at once or one two-handed weapon.

How's that even remotely pathetic ? Jar'kai dueling has been around for a long time. lol. You are able to maintain a strong offense, as the speed of attack that two blades allowed would overwhelm most opponents.

They're jedi knights not jedi monks. Knights use swords. A double bladed lightsabre is essentially a quarterstaff, which I would associate with monks. I don't even know what Jar'kai is, it's not in the films.

You obviously know nothing or very little about the star wars universe....I don't have the time or patience to go over thousands of years of history lore with you. Use google.

If it's not in the movies it didn't happen. Double bladed garbage only appeared in games since Darth Maul. The Pahantom Menace essentially put an end to all Jedi/Sith mythos, which is why all 'true' Star Wars fans hate the prequal trilogy.

You realize that Jedi are trained like and behave more like monks than the knights of medieval Europe, right?

The good ones that aren't player characters fit that mold, anyway.
