telos surface impossible
help please, it was extremely easy in the city place and now that ive got to the surface its gone to impossible, this is the second time i played up to this point and have made little to no progress in actually beating it. AI is dumb and runs into mines all the time, i use stationary but that just means that i need to line them up properly so they can shoot the enemies within the right distance and not miss....

the enemies are redicuosly over powered and near enough impossible to kill even when im using shields, tactics etc.

can someone give me some tips or a mod that actually fixes the awful balancing? thanks

I've played through many times with little trouble on hard difficulty. Take your main character, Bao-dur and Kreia.

For the groups of mercenaries watch out for the ones that activate purple (mandalorian melee) shields. Set Bao-dur to deliver a couple of his shield breaker attacks to that merc and the shield will go down quickly. Otherwise it is just pause, give orders to all take down one merc, rinse and repeat.

For the big minefield I set all three party members to ranged and equip ranged weapons, that generally keeps them out of trouble. Don't forget to switch back to aggressive afterwards. For the enemies behind small clusters of mines either run through the mines and engage melee or if your character or Kreia has the destroy droid power they can use it to detonate the mines.

The trickiest bit is the research base. After taking out the initial group of mercs your party members have an annoying tendency to run off after the next enemy before you can heal up. There is not much you can do except go with it, you should get a chance to regroup after taking the landing pad and mopping up the rest is straightforward.

You haven't been using autolevel, have you? It makes really poor choices. Level everyone yourself and have a plan on where their development is going.

The game is not balanced, as you will find out when you reach lvl 20 with a lightsaber and can kill just about any enemy with impunity. There are a couple of balance mods on the Deadlystream website although I've not tried them myself. They do have to be installed manually though.

Thankyou for this strategy, and no, i havent autoleveled, i chose some skills for them to focus on each individually. i will try this and see how it goes, thanks

If worse come to worse ya need stealth and to equip the stealth field generator and disable or recover mines. Doing this solo with the generator will not break stealth I'm pretty sure

Also just a side tip for starting invest into some med packs at a lab and use our highest Lvl treat injury skill character to med pack other characters. I use krea as my healer heals other characters good
What is your dexterity at? Try using sonic on droids

Grenades are a big help here; with the exception of the Mercenary Droidmaster, Veteran Mercenaries, and Mercenary Commander, the others will take lot of damage from them.

Like someone already said, use Bao-Dur to knock out the shields on the Commander and Veterans, Sonic/Ion grenades on the droids.

When you get to the minefield, it really helps to have Atton or your PC go Stealth and disable all the mines, then have all your characters take out the turrets with blasters.
