Atton influence at the end of the game?

I am near the end of the game (just finished Korriban and am about to jump into the civil war on Oberon) however Atton still won't talk to me about the Mandalorian Wars. It's the only dialogue option (besides playing Pazaak) and it always results in an influence failure. Now, I missed the opportunity of caching in on all the influence you can get when taking him to Nar Shadaa (I needed Kreias force powers) and as I understand it, infleunce is a limited ressource in the game.
Do I still have a chance of gaining some influence for Atton in what I presume is pretty much the endgame?

Did you have the dialogue with the Twileks in the refugee sector on Nar Shadaa about Atton's past? If not you need to go and do that.

I just want to talk to him. Have him open up about his feelings. Tell me what makes him laugh and cry. Have him sing the songs his mother sung to help him fall asleep. That sort of thing.
But apparently all that needs to be bought with this in-game currency called "influence". Where are the microtransactions when you need them?!

Yes, I did. He blocked me off when I told him I met someone who knows him on Nar Shaada. He was rude about it, too. The current dialogue option he offers me is :"I'd like to hear more about what happened after the Mandalorian Wars." but apparently he's not ready for it yet.

Doubt there's much you can do at this point. I usually have full influence on atton and him as a Jedi by level 6 and halfway done the first planet (nar shadaa because I can get both Mira and atton as Jedi by the time it's done).

To get influence with atton easy, I typically murder an innocent civilian with atton, and then he usually has dialogue right after about how he just acted without realizing it, and you just gotta say we needed to do it and you gain influence
