Crossguard Sabers (AKA Kylo Ren saber)
Any modders out there, how does adding crossguard sabers to KOTOR 2 sound? It can be more powerful than a standard blade, but you can only use 1. Also, it can be an extra dialogue option for when Atton asks about your lightsaber early in the game, and then shows it in the holo-recording of Coruscant

I know for Kotor 1, but I haven't seen it for Kotor 2. Can you provide a link? I spent an hour searching and couldn't find it

OK so it is possible I'm remembering it wrong and it could be fore #1. It was part of a light saber "pack" mod. I either got it from the workshop or Nexus, and it was the most popular light saber mod that specifically shows kylo's saber in the description.

Apologies if what I'm referring to is only for KOTOR 1

I don't think there is one yet.

Modder needs to change the name of the item to Cruciform Lightsaber. Crossguard Lightsaber sounds a little goofy.

Atton: "Yeah? What kind of lightsaber was it? A single or a double bladed saber?"

Exile: "A single-bladed saber with a useless energy hilt that for swords is meant to protect the wielder's hand but for energy weapons means if your hand slips a quarter an inch you cut your thumb off."

You wouldn't actually. There's two bits of metal tubing around the two projection points of the energy quillons that stop your hand from slipping upward. Not that your hand needs to be anywhere near the guard in the first place, the grip is longer than a standard lightsaber.

Even if it lacked this protection, the benefit far outweighs the risk. Being able to catch an opponent's weapon in a bind and counter-thrust is crucial in many forms of fencing, but especially in Longsword. This is something that standard Lightsabers lack the ability to do entirely.

wouldn't the enemies light saber just cut right through that 2 inch long piece of metal that the cross hilt thing is coming out of?

No, because the energy beam is running through them before being projected outward.
