I had a very melee-centric character w/ a dual bladed lightsaber and I beat her easily just normally attacking. If you don't have your lightsaber yet, then I reccommend that you
A) Get your best melee weapon out and load yourself up with stimulants and melee shields (I find that the Mandalorian Power Shield is pretty useful for melee encounters)
B) Use Force powers. Even if you can't get the full damage of it, the Lightning ability still does a tiny bit of guaranteed damage- at least every time i've used it.
C) Run like heck. If you can break Visas's line of sight to you, she should stop pursuing you. If she does this, try and set up some mines if you have any, and depending on how many you have and how many times you can break her line of sight, you could kill her just by doing this. I've done the same thing with the Master Vrook fight(yay dark side!) and it did help quite a lot.
If you play consistently light or dark you are likely to encounter Visas before you have a lightsaber. Melee weapons should be enough though.
Visas uses a lightsaber - an energy weapon. So don't waste a Mandalorian shield, use your best energy shield and Energy Resistance if you have it (you should have taken it).
If all else fails turn the difficulty down to easy.
If you mean the one in the cantina there is an incredibly easy way to win that fight.
Back to the original topic - I just beat Visas on normal difficulty with a lvl 15 Sentinel, no weapons, just unarmed. All it took was 2 uses of an Echani shield plus the energy resistance power and keep hammering away.
Yes, you really have to try pretty hard to screw up a build - or just use autolevel, that will do it.
I'm not sure if T3 being on the ship during that scene has been addressed in a more recent iteration of the patch or not. I found it quite amusing.
