Opo Chano TSLRCM, and Dark Side w/ Companions?
SPOILERS AHEAD:
Remember Opo Chano? He was a droid mechanic on Citadel Station that owes the Exchange some money. When you first come to him you can kill him (dark side) or pay off his debt (light side) or tell him to leave the station. I'm playing dark side this run, but dark side option here would lose companion influence. So, I told him to leave, and figured he'd be helpful later. Then, on Nar Shadaa when you see him again you only really have 2 options this time: Let him die (dark side) or stick up for him (light side). So, if you are dark side you have no choice but to get light side points or lose companion influence in this situation. Seriously? I've never actually played dark side before. How many situations like this are there in this game? Should I make sure to only run with HK and Hanharr to avoid influence drops? Usually run with at least Kreia. Trying to max out her influence this time, and get all possible training with her. Generally a smart dark side path will make Kreia happy, but sometimes "Are psychotic urges all that drive you?" Ugh...

You don't need to gain dark side points in every scenario for a good dark side run. Especially if you're influencing companions, sometimes you manipulate companions by doing good deeds when they're around, like kreia would want.

Plus it depends on the companion. You can actually gain influence with atton for example when you kill innocents and then tell him you needed to do it.
Just change up companions for different scenarios.

I guess that actually makes since, considering she remains neutral alignment no matter what through the whole game. I've gotten her to praise me quite a few times already for manipulating people. Also, do you know what good Opo Chano even is. I've been keeping this idiot alive, and getting nothing from it...

You are missing out on several opportunities by trying to avoid LS points. One example is that you will not be able to influence T3 to let you repair him without taking LS points. Assuming your computer and repair skills are good enough you can gain an attribute point and useful experience.

Opo Chano? No, I don't think there is anything to gain for a darksider by not simply killing him on Citadel. As said, you can actually gain influence with Atton for killing innocents, including this situation iirc. Just be sure to remove Kreia from your party while you do this.

Just bully T3 into submission. Remember low INF is the same as high INF for the influence checks.

Interestingly enough, Opo Chano can't be killed straight away. It seems that you must start the quest involving him first. Also, if Kreia is in your party, she would express her dissaproval as usual, but you won't lose or gain any influence. At least this is how it works with Atton. Haven't cheked it with other party members yet. If Atton is alone, you get influence gain as usual. Most curious.
